Notes from Mrs. L Gassman
Sanborn Central High School Parents/Guardians,
As we look ahead to summer, I wanted to share a great resource for students interested in exploring different career paths across South Dakota.
Several colleges and organizations throughout the state are offering career exploration camps and experiences during summer 2026. These opportunities allow students to learn more about potential careers, participate in hands-on activities, and experience college campuses.
You can find a full list of these opportunities, along with descriptions and registration information, at the link below:
https://ourdakotadreams.com/events-calendar/?event_types=135&num=10&pagenum=1
This website includes a calendar of events happening across the state, making it easy to browse options by date and area of interest.
These programs are a great way for students to:
  • Explore different career fields
  • Gain hands-on experience
  • Learn from professionals and college instructors
  • Begin thinking about future education and career goals
I encourage you to take some time to review these opportunities with your student and consider signing up for any that match their interests.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like help finding a good fit for your student.
Thank you,
Mrs. Logan Gassman
