Notes from Mrs. Gassman
Wednesday, April 9th at 10:00-11:00 AM at the 4H Building in the new addition. The career panel members will be arriving to the 4H building between 9:30-9:45 AM.

If you have a middle school or high school class during second block/third period on Wednesday (blue day), please walk your class to the 4H building at 9:45 AM and enter through the main doors of the old addition. Ideally, I would like our students in place and ready for the event to begin promptly at 10:00 AM, even a couple minutes early if at all possible.

I have attached a copy of the student groups in this email. Please inform the students of their groups prior to walking over to the 4H building so they are aware of who they are with. Groups #1-7 are our high school students, and groups #8-14 are our middle school students. When you arrive in the new addition, please help the student groups find their first station/career cluster panel group and have them sit down. I will have the tables labeled.

The students were placed into groups of 4-6 students. The career panel members will be assigned a table according to their career cluster; there are 15 career cluster stations. Each student group will talk to each career cluster panel once, for around 4 minutes each. I have created a list of questions that I will print, and we will give to students, so they have lots of questions to ask the panel members.

I will start with a brief introduction followed by having each of the panel members introduce themselves and their career. We will then immediately start the 4-minute sessions where each student group will be in chairs in front of a career cluster panel table and when I announce that it's time to switch groups, the students will rotate clockwise to their next station. The set up will be tables with the career panel members grouped according to their career cluster, and 6 chairs in front of each table for the students to sit in, across from the panel members. This set up should allow for conversation and questions among the students and the career panel members.

I will be doing so as well, but if you are able, please walk around and ensure that our students are asking questions and conversating well with the panel members!

Thank you for allowing me to have our students engage in this career development opportunity! I look forward to this event and hope it goes as planned. 🙂
