Yearbook Closet Cleanout! Limited quantities available. Contact susan.farrell-poncelet@k12.sd.us to claim and make arrangements for pickup/shipping and payment. Stock includes SIX from 2021 ($25 each), NINE from 2022 ($25 each), EIGHT from 2023 ($23 each), and 28 from 2024 ($40 each). Note: Order forms for this current school year will go out the first week in April.

On April 7, Horizon Health will be visiting Sanborn Central.  They will be offering FREE fluoride varnish to students in grades PreK-12.  Fluoride varnish is a dental treatment that can help prevent tooth decay or slow it down.  Attached is a permission form to complete for you to complete to allow the staff to complete this service.  Please return by Thursday, April 3 and return to school.

Sunday, April 13th, 2025 the PreK-5th Grade families are invited to "Under the Sea" Family Prom event from 2-4 in the school gym. The cost is $10 a family and all family member are welcome! Refreshments will be provided for a free will donation and all proceeds go towards new playground equipment.

POST PROM :  4/12/25 11:00 pm to 2:30 am We are asking for help from parents to work the post prom party. We have several games and food to server so we just need a few extra  parents to help out.  Please reach out to a Junior parent if you are available to help.  Thanks! 

The 2025 Drivers Ed classroom time will take place May 22nd, 23rd, 27th, and 28th this year right after the regular school year is complete. The behind the wheel portion will take place after the classroom portion is complete throughout June. Permission/registration forms along with the registration fees need to be turned in to either Mr. Korbel, in Woonsocket, or Sanborn school Office by April  25th. Click here for sign up information. 

Summer School registration is due April 21st and cost is a small group sessions for $15 and One-on-one sessions for $25

Free summer grab and go meals are available for children ages 1-18 at the Huron Middle School on Tuesday and Friday's 11:30AM-12:30PM May 27th-August 1st. Extra Curricular
The Spring Sport Pictures have been moved to Monday, April 7 to accommodate some athletes that are going to be gone on the original date.  It will be held in Woonsocket with the following order:
10:00AM- Track
10:30AM- Golf

2025 Golf Schedule
With the weather this week, we will adjust practices.
Golf will practice Monday-Thursday after school in Woonsocket.
Junior High will NOT practice on Wednesday.
It looks like all practices will be indoors. We will practice in the gym.

Track practice schedule 
The first track meet will be Tuesday, April 8th in Parkston with a 2:00 start. The bus will depart SC at 12:00

Thursday, April 3rd
Wessington Springs can only play a 5th grade game.  The 6th grade will scrimmage at around 6:45.

The first soccer practice will be on Tuesday, April 8th at 5:30 pm.  There will be a short parent meeting at 5:30 as well.  If you are in need of cleats for your child, we have a large supply of extra/donated cleats (especially in the smaller sizes).  Don’t buy new until you’ve checked out our supply! 
2025 Sanborn Central Soccer Schedule
If we are in the gym for practice, U6 (PreK-K) and U8 (1st-2nd) will practice from 5:30-6:15 and U10 (3rd-4th) and U12 (5th-6th) will practice from 6:15-7:00.
If we are outside for practice, everyone will practice from 5:30-6:30.

A Note From Mrs. Gassman
I have received some responses for people to be a part of the career panel for MS and HS students on Wednesday, April 9, but I am looking for more representatives to reach out to, as I would really like representation from each career cluster if possible!

If you know someone in our local area who may be interested in being a part of the career panel, please let me know and I will try and get in contact with them!
