Information for the week of March 24th
The first HS eligibility of the 4th Quarter will be run on April 17th.

The State Student Council Convention has been cancelled due to expected weather conditions that could impact mid-week travel back.

The 5/6th VB ladies will travel to Iroquois this evening to play a 5:30 game. They will practice tomorrow at SC from 3:30-5:00

The Spring Sport Pictures have been moved to Monday, April 7 to accommodate some athletes that are going to be gone on the original date.  It will be held in Woonsocket with the following order:

On April 7, Horizon Health will be visiting Sanborn Central.  They will be offering FREE fluoride varnish to students in grades PreK-12.  Fluoride varnish is a dental treatment that can help prevent tooth decay or slow it down.  Attached is a permission form to complete for you to complete to allow the staff to complete this service.  Please return by Thursday, April 3 and return to school.

We wanted to thank the parents of Sanborn Central for their commitment to education. The turnout for Parent Teacher Conferences was outstanding! 96.5% of PreK-12 parents attended or communicated virtually for Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, March 19th. This reflects our collaborative effort between the school and families to provide the best education for the students of Sanborn Central. Our staff sincerely appreciates your dedication to education.

It was a fun filled weekend at the girls state 'B' tournament! Congratulations to the Blackhawk ladies as they reeled in a second place finish over Bennett County. It has been a fun ride this year ladies, and thank you for the journey!

All six state tournaments will air live on TV. Both A tournaments will air on SDPB1-TV, the AA’s on SDPB2-TV, and the B’s on SDPB3-TV. Every game will also stream live on YouTube and on sdpb.org/basketball. You can also stream the games live on https://www.sd.net/ – all for free.

Thank You to Dakota Pro Air today for visiting our school. From 8:15-9:00 they will be with the Ag 1 Class. They will read to the Pre-K in the MS Lab at 9:05 and at 9:35 they will go to read to grades 1-2 in the MS Lab and finish up with Ag III at 10:00. Thank you for giving us time out of your busy schedule Michelle and Heath!

The Lady Blackhawks will have the proper send off Wednesday morning at 8:00AM from the Woonsocket School. The fire truck will lead them out of town as they head to the State B's in Huron!
