Friday, March 7 2025-Blue Day-1:45 Dismissal

 Information for the week of March 3rd
The Blackhawk ladies are headed to S-T-A-T-E!! Congratulations on a victory over Corsica-Stickney last night with a barn burner of a game with a final score of 43-45! The ladies will play Lyman at 7:45 on March 13th!

It's great to see all of the Blackhawk buddies in the building. From mom's and dad's to grandparents and aunt's and uncles. Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to have a bite to eat with these excited kids!

The boys will play at 6:00 in Woonsocket vs. Colman-Egan on Friday for the first Round Region game. If they win they will place again on Saturday at 1PM with the site to be determined. The winner will play at 1:00 in Chester.

The Wellness Committee challenges you  to get up and get a move on. March is a fantastic time to utilize the outdoors and try a new activity!
Friday-eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables
Saturday-Try a Healthy recipe
Sunday-30 minutes of stretching or yoga 

In celebration of PBIS we will highlight the success of staff and students on Friday, March 7th with a movie in the gym starting at 11:45. The kitchen ladies will make a sack lunch for all PreK-12th grade students, including an Uncrustable PB&J sandwich, carrots, apple wedges, string cheese, and capri suns. Students will still have the option to get a milk if they would like one. The PBIS team members will have the sack lunches on a cart and will pass out the lunches to students before the movie begins.

Friday-Bring your Blackhawk Buddy (parents, grandparents, etc.) to breakfast 7:45-8:15-Donut and Juice Provided by the SC Booster Club

A note from our powerlifting coach Rickey Nelsen. All powerlifters did very well and hit personal best on Saturday. He was very proud of them. Kenzie got a 5th place metal.

Mr. Welch reports that the FFA CD kids did well at yesterday's event and everyone placed in the top 10.

Monday, March 3rd 2025-Blue Day

Thank you to those that volunteered at the basketball game on Friday in the efforts of helping out Brady Larson and his family! Together we raised $3,140.00 

The Larson family would also like to share the following message with the community. We are forever grateful for the love and support you have all shown all of us. Thank you for all your generosity and kindness. We appreciate all of you! Thanks again!  Together we are #bradytough. 

The varsity boys were defeated by Wessington Springs on Friday but put up a tough battle. The game was a nail bitter vs. the number 4 team, and we fell with a score of 64-71. They will be in action again tomorrow vs. Colman-Egan at Woonsocket with a 7PM 6:00 start time.
