Information for the week of February 18th
Congratulation to the e-sports team who finished in the top 8 in Rocket League during state. Way to get the program started off on in the right direction.
Today kicks off the start of FFA week with Blue and Gold day. The officers will be visiting elementary classes and giving presentations.
The basketball team will travel to JVC today.

A Pie Auction and Bake Sale will also take place starting at 5:00PM in the gym lobby. During half time a live auction will happen. The funds will be donated to the Nelson Family in memory of fellow 4-H member Raegan Nelson. Free Popcorn will be donated for your enjoyment from Helena Agri-Enterprises and Mustang Seeds.

February 26th a group of 9-11 students will be touring the CTE Building in Huron. This is a great opportunity for our students to see the new elective CTE options that will be available to them and build interest. I will keep you informed on the exact times when students will be gone. Seniors will be in attendance that day. It will take place from 12-2:30

There has been added interest in a voucher program in the state of South Dakota. This program allocates state funds for tuition fees that can be used at schools other than public schools. The Sanborn Central School Board and I stand in opposition to school vouchers unless the same accountability and reporting are also required from those receiving the voucher. · Halftime will be 3 minutes.

The Hunt is On-Brady is a graduate of Sanborn Central and is currently attending Mitchell Technical College for ag business. Brady was diagnosed in December with Sever Aplastic Anemia, a rare and serious condition that occurs when your body stops producing enough new blood cells. It is anticipated that Brady will have to undergo a bone marrow transplant this year as part of his treatment. Forms are due back February 14th
