The Blackhawk family is saddened by the loss of former superintendent and counselor Linda Whitney. She dedicated her educational career to Artesian, Artesian-Letcher, and then Sanborn Central for 32 years. She retired in 2016 and holds a lengthy resume as music teacher, councilor, and superintendent!

Coronation will be this evening in the gym at 6:30 pm in the gym.

Flu vaccines will be offered for students, staff and parents on Wednesday, October 16th by the Horizon Health Woonsocket Staff from 7:30-9:00. Forms will go home with children. Please return them is you would like to receive a flu vaccine.

The freshmen class will be absent from your classes on Wednesday, September 18^th (orange day) as they will be attending the Freshman Impact program in Alexandria.

We just reseeded some areas of the Sanborn Central field that had gaps last week. To give these areas ample time for growth, we will have to move the JV football game with MCM on Sept. 16^th to Wessington Springs.

We will not have a volleyball match for 7th/8^th grade when we play Iroquois/Lake Preston on Oct. 15^th as they have a music festival that day.  The JV game will begin at 6:15 followed by the varsity game.

We will play the junior high volleyball match on Oct. 7^th at Sanborn Central with the 7^th graders starting at 4:00 and the 8^th graders at 5:00-Therefore HS VB practice will be at Woonsocket.
