The boys ended their season with a loss last night delivered by Parkston (47-62).  Thanks for taking us along for the ride players and coaches.  We have loved watching you play and are proud of your efforts.

Tomorrow at 8:25AM in the SC Gym PreK-5th Grade Dakota Assemblies presents "Hex Yourself" The presenter has worked with the founder of Character Counts in the development of an educational show.  Hex yourself will emphasize the 6 pillars as conversation will take place regarding "Trustworthiness" "Respect" "Responsibility" "Fairness" "Caring" and "Citizenship."



The following SC HS students will be attending the CBH Academic Fest in Mitchell Wednesday, March 2nd:

Senior Project Workday is March 9th. Seniors do not attend regular classes.

Prom Schedule-April 9th
3:30-4pm - Freshmen and Sophomore Couples
4-4:30pm - Junior and Senior Couples
4:30-5pm - Class photos
**Please be prompt as photos need to be finished no later than 5pm. 
Families who want to take photos will need to wait until the photographers are finished due to the time constraint.
5-6:45pm - Prom Banquet. Doors will be locked and no outside visitors (ie families) will be able to enter until the banquet is finished.
6:45pm - doors open for community to get ready for grand march
8pm - Grand March
9pm - 1130pm/12am - PROM
After prom will be held at the school following prom.

Saturday, March 5th at the Stekl Shop (40512 240th St. Letcher) a bean bag tournament, auction, and supper will take place.  The supper will start at 5:00 with BBQ, hot dogs, chips, sides and cake.  Close to 100 items are up for bid during the silent auction.  Please view the Silent Auction Roster

Music
Tuesday, March 10th the Music Contest at SC will take place.  The contest will kick off at 8:30 with the girls and boys ensemble-all students.  The 6th band quartet will wrap up the contest at 10:50.  For a complete list of students and events please visit the following link.  Music Contest Schedule

March 23rd some of the HS students will partake in a large group music fest in Mitchell.  Student that will be gone for the day are Teagen M, Alex S, Bryce L, Caleb K, Evan E, Payton U, Dana S, and Dayton E.

March 29th students that will be gone for the elementary band festival in Michell are as follows.  Chloe S, Kaidence F, Ramsey F, Landree Z, Carley E, Brooklyn L and Sean B.

Extra Curricular
The SCW Powerlifting Team will be competing at the State Meet in Salem Saturday, March 5th. Registration begins at 7 AM and bus loads at SC at 5:50 AM. 
Athletes competing: Brighten Hitchcock, Shania Cornelius, Joshua Tucker, Sidney Salas, Cooper Goldammer, Evan VonEye, & Carter Hitchcock.

Saturday, February 26th Iroquois will host the boys and girls "Big Slam" BB Tournament.

As we move into March, it has some of us thinking about baseball and softball.  We are gathering the names of children that are interested in playing baseball or softball for this upcoming spring/summer. If your child is interested in playing please fill out the letter of intent and return it to the school by Monday, March 7th. Additionally if there is anyone aged 13 - 16 interested in playing teener baseball please fill out the letter of intent and return it to the school.

There will be a parent meeting for all soccer parents on Monday, March, 7th at 6:30 pm in the SC gym.  There will also be an equipment swap.  If you have any cleats/shinguards that your child has outgrown, and you are willing to swap/exchange please bring them that night. If you did NOT receive the remind message about this meeting, please contact Megan.Wilson@k12.sd.us.
