Congratulation to the FB team with a win last Friday vs Garretson by a score of 20-3!

Student Council will be meeting during lunch on Monday, August 31st.

Students interested in participating in Oral Interp this year should either stop in and see Ms. Farrell-Poncelet or email her at susan.farrell-poncelet@k12.sd.us. Due to competitions being a bit different this year, the SDHSAA is requiring a consent form signed by parents/guardians for each participant, so the sooner you let her know of interest, the sooner you can get your form signed and choose your piece. 

 HS students, the last day to drop classes is Wednesday, September 2nd.

Sports

Now that the air is starting to feel brisk and the leaves on the trees are turning that tinge of orange it is time to give credit where credit is due.  We have some rodeo stars walking our hallways and we are proud to recap their summer.  Announcing everyone from SC that has the courage to get on a 1,000 lb animal (tame or not) and give it the best go they have up their sleeve.  Arthur N, Lawson Z, Ramsey F, Cort S, Landree Z, Hudson F, Layton Z, Aubrey M, Trey M, Mason M, Teya M, and our alumni Madi M, Tator M & Cayden S.

FB Schedule for the week:

Monday: 4:00 8th grade game will be followed by a short 7th grade game vs. Chamberlain in Forestburg. 5:30 JV will face off. Varsity & JV will come over on buses, or drive themselves if approved, for film and practice starting at 3:45. JV will watch film and prepare for game their JV game. Black game jerseys will be worn. Just helmets for varsity players. WS bus leaves at 3:00. Woony bus leaves at 3:15.

Tuesday: 4:00-6:00 PM JH & HS practice in Woony. HS=full pads, JH=Helmets & shoulder pads

Wednesday: 4:00-6:00 PM JH & HS Practice in Woony. HS & JH=full pads

Thursday: 9:00-10:45 AM (no school) JH & HS practice in Woony. HS=Helmets & shoulder pads, JH=full pads

Friday: 7:00 PM game in Winner. Bus leaves SC at 2:30. Pickup Woony at 2:45 & Springs at 3:00

Labor Day practice for JH & HS is scheduled for 4-6 PM in Woony

Tuesday Sept. 8th JH & JV game in Winner starting at 4:30.

August 31st Concession workers for the FB game are Clayton & Lannette Dean, Tera Moody, Doug & Paula Northrup, and Charlie and Christy Zoss
