Extra Help Day is Friday, December 6th. Parents of students with missing assignments or failing grades will be notified the afternoon of Thursday, December 5th that the student will need to be in attendance from 8-11 on Friday. Students will be given a list of missing assignments this afternoon. The list will be updated tomorrow prior to calls being made.
Blackhawk Boys' Mentor Program
The Boys Basketball Mentorship Program will have our first get
together on Saturday, December 7th at the Woonsocket Gym from 9-10:30. Parents
are not required to stay for this. We will be getting the mentees paired with
their mentors and letting them get to know each other. The Boys Varsity Team
will start practice at 10AM and the younger boys are encouraged to stay and
watch practice for a half hour. We will have other dates in the future where
everyone will be getting together. If you have any questions please let me
know.

Counselors Corner
Seniors or juniors interested in taking a dual credit class next semester, please come see Mrs. Foxley! Dual credit registration for the Spring 2020 semester opened the beginning of November.
There will be an online presentation on the Build Dakota Scholarship on Monday, December 9 at 2:00 pm in Mrs. Foxley's room for sophomores - seniors. Build Dakota is a full-ride scholarship for some programs offered at technical schools in South Dakota.
Community
The Artesian Community Improvement Association will be holding their annual Ham Drawing/Membership Drive on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 at the Artesian Community Center. Supper will be served at 6:30pm, followed by drawings and a visit from Santa! Membership dues are $20 per family and go towards summer youth programs and community events.

Lots of fun--parents can have the afternoon to attend the Holiday Tour of Homes or have an afternoon to relax or prepare for Christmas
For an additional donation, gifts can be brought to the school and you will be able to pick them up wrapped and ready for giving
Proceeds go to support Woonsocket Community Care & Learning Center, our non-profit state licensed daycare center
