ATHLETICS
The boys
Blackhawks ended their season with a 55-44 loss to #4-ranked Wolsey-Wessington
in the championship game. Helping were: Trey--2 reb, 1 ast, 2
st Garrett—1 reb trent—9 pts, 8 reb,
5 ast Logun—12 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast, 1 st, 1
blk Shaun—9 pts, 5 reb, 3 blk Noah—6 pts, 1
reb, 2 st Wyatt—8 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast, 1
st We shot 16/43 FG for 37%, 1/10 3-pt FG for
10%, and 11/17 FT for 65%. We were outrebounded 35-20 and had 11
turnovers. The boys end their season 15-7. Coach
Olson’s comment: Rebounding and poor shooting were too much to
overcome. These young men again showed great character in battling until
the end. Not having Trevor (injury) and only having Wyatt for 13 minutes
(Foul trouble-some questionable) hurt us a lot but these guys kept fighting and
only trailed by 4 with 90 seconds to go. It is not a surprise to me that we
overcame adversity and still came within a few bounces from winning this
game. This team plays so hard and so unselfish and that is why they have
been a huge joy to work with. Many of our fans and opponents fans have
told me this has been a fun, entertaining team to watch—please let the boys
know you appreciate their work if you see them.
There will not be JO VB this weekend.
