American Education Week! Today we salute
our administration…..Mr. Siemsen, Mrs. Vermeulen, and Gayle your leadership at
Sanborn Central enables all of us to be the best we can. We do realize that you have guidance from our
school board – Brenda Schmit, Curtis Adams, Clayton Dean, Justin Enfield, and
Troy Olson thank you! The committee has
provided treats in the workroom for all staff to enjoy today. Each day two winners will be drawn for prizes
– today’s winners are Mrs. Miller and Tavin Alatta! Tomorrow is Teacher/Support Staff
Day – you may wear jeans plus Soup in the workroom). Wednesday is Student/Community Day – Parents
and community members are invited to visit.
Students will enjoy a movie and popcorn.

to the 5/6th Basketball teams as they play Hitch/Tulare at SC at
6:00 tonight. Over the weekend the girls
placed 2nd and the boys third in the Sanborn County Cancer
Tournament.
Good Luck to our
students attending District 4 Leadership LDEs today: Leave Woonsocket at 12:30 p.m. and
SC at 12:45 p.m. Please let students out 15 minutes early so they can get
changed into OD and will be ready to go at the leave time. Students Attending: Katie S, Samantha D, Cayden S, Noah D,

Winterguard
- Just a reminder that practice tonight has been
rescheduled to 3:30pm right after school at Woonsocket due to games tonight at
Sanborn Central and 3rd -4th basketball practice at Woonsocket.
The school board meets
tonight at 7:00.
A
combined band rehearsal will be held Tuesday (15th) morning from
8:30-9:40 at Woonsocket in preparation for the concert that night. Bus will leave SC at 8:15.
USD
will be visiting on Tuesday, November 15th at 11:30am.
There
will be a Smarter Balanced Mtg at 7:45 on Tuesday, November 15th in
the MS Lab – grades 3-5, MS/HS Math and LA)
LATI Rep will be here at
noon today for any interested Juniors or Seniors
ACADEMIC
NOTICES!!!!! With
the revisions to the calendar, our Academic Extra Help Day has been moved.
Missing assignment reports will be ran today and given to students. All missing assignments must be turned in by
noon on Wednesday, November 16th.
We will run eligibility at noon on Wednesday, November 16th
and parents will be notified after 1:00pm that day. Students with a
failing grade or missing assignment must be here from 8:00am to 11:00am on
Thursday, November 17th.
Just a heads
up to students and parents: Tracy Moody will be leaving Wednesday morning
(Nov. 16th) and will not be back until the Monday after Thanksgiving (Nov.
28th). Grades will be posted tomorrow by noon and then no new grades will
be posted until she gets back, so plan accordingly!! Especially if you have
missing work.

She will need all of them by 3:00 tomorrow.

A meeting room at the YWCA on east side of crossroads has been reserved for a SOCIAL by the booster clubs for SC/W parents/players/fans on Thursday after the first session around 4:30PM. A taco bar from Taco Johns will be set up and socials for Friday and Saturday will be announced at a later time.
Tickets will be sold in Huron
at the Huron Arena starting one hour before. There will be no advanced sale to
the qualifying school.
MUSIC
Hi all – We are planning for the Blackhawks March Band
Concert with fundraiser next Tuesday, November 15 in Woonsocket. We have
decided to serve a meal prior to the concert…from 5:30-7. We will be
serving both lasagna and tater tot hot dish, along with breadstick, lettuce,
bar or cookie and drink. Free will offering with proceeds to band. We are
asking each Woonsocket family to donate either a pan of lasagna or a pan of
tater tot hot dish. We also need donations of a pan of bars or
cookies from some Woonsocket families, and invite. ItJSanborn
Central families to help us out in that area if you would like would be
good if the bars/cookies were at the school by noon as well, but no later than
5:00. And, we need a few donated bottles of salad dressing for the
