dismissed at 2:35 today to head to Woonsocket for games beginning at 3:30 with
Miller (Harley Kneen, Tryce Slykhuis,
Mason Moody, Leighton Tarbox, Zach Nelson, Noah Wormstadt, Weston
Baysinger, Sawyer Senska, Eric Ruml, Alex Wormstadt, Ethan Johnson, Noah
Dickson, Aiden Wormstadt, & Cayden Slykhuis) . We will need to
have all JH/JV players dressed and ready at the field by 3:10 at latest. JV
players should probably be at the field at that time as well. Blackhawk

we will do our first eligibility of the year.
All grades need to be posted no later than noon. Please let the office know when you are done
posting! We will begin calling parents
around 1:00 – be sure all your work is in!
September 8th at 8:15 the Juniors
will be ASVAB testing. If you do not want your student’s scores released
to the military, please sign and return the form listed below to the
office. These letters have also been placed on the student’s locker.

boots for the Woonsocket Land and Range School. We should be back to school
around the beginning of fourth block.
Ag I, II, III, and IV students need to bring $5 to pay for
their meal at the Woonsocket Land and Range School. Please bring your
money to Mr. Gross ASAP.

Homecoming
HOMECOMING- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!! Sanborn Central will be participating in the Woonsocket
Homecoming parade on September 9th. The parade begins at
1:00 in Woonsocket. Parent Chaperones are asked to meet their designated
grade level/teacher in the Woonsocket School parking lot at 12:30. You
will be assigned a group of students to monitor. If you wish to pick up
your student following the parade in Woonsocket, you will need to complete the
form (linked below) and return to your child’s teacher by Wednesday,
September 7th. No form – No exceptions.
The original calendar indicated that school
would dismiss at 12:30 that day. However, the route busses will not run
until we return from the parade. The estimated time for the route busses
to leave here is 2:30.
High school students will be having activities that
morning. Band students will depart at 11:30 on a bus for
Woonsocket. All band students will be returned to SC by bus after the
parade. Any band student wishing to drive themselves must have written
parental permission slips turned into the office by Wednesday, Sept 7th
at noon. Students car pooling must have written permission from both sets
of parents. Any student planning on not attending school on the 9th
must have written parental permission slips turned in by Wednesday the 7th
or will be issued an unexcused absence.
MUSIC
All
State Chorus auditions will be held on September 7 at 11:30 in the music room.
Those not auditioning will report to the gym for study hall.
COMMUNITY
The Country Pumper has their September Menu out. If
you haven’t had one of their daily specials, you are missing out!!!
BREAKING
NEWS!!!!!! On Wednesday,
September 7th,
2016, Sanborn County Food Pantry, in partnership with Feeding South Dakota,
will be hosting a truckload food giveaway in Woonsocket, SD. An estimated
22,000 pounds of food will be distributed beginning at 5 PM and continuing until all of the food is
gone. There are no restrictions of eligibility – just one box per family!
