Blue Day
Good Luck to the JH/JV Football
team as they travel to Mt. Vernon for a jamboree today. We will pick up Woonsocket and Sanborn Central players in
Woonsocket at 2:30 pm and then on to Mt. Vernon. The varsity will practice
at 4:00 pm in Woonsocket. Noah D, Aiden W, Cayden S, Sawyer S, Weston B, Harley
K, Tryce S, Mason M, Leighton T, and Noah W need to be dismissed at 2:00 to get
ready.
Thank you to everyone who auditioned for All-State chorus and
congratulations to the following delegates and alternates who will be
representing Sanborn Central's music department this year: Delegates:
Breanne Brandenburg (soprano), Renee Farmer (alto), Byron Jessen (tenor),
and Koby Larson (bass). Alternates:
Madi Moody (soprano), Adriana Salas (alto), Cole Moody (tenor), and
Weston Baysinger (bass).

Academics
Parent-Teacher Conferences are Thursday, September 15th from
2:00-7:00. MS/HS Students whose parent
contacts a teacher will receive bonus points in that class. Parents are welcome to call or e-mail
teachers if they can’t attend conferences.
The last day for parent contact to receive your bonus points is September
22nd.
Don’t forget that Tutoring has begun!!!! Cost is $2.50/night and meets on Tuesday and
Thursday after school. Pick up time is
5:15. This is open to all students.
Athletics
Admission to Friday’s JV/JH FB game with Iroquois at SC will be
$4/adult and $2/student.
Band
Marching Band: The marching band will not be
going to Platte Friday Sep. 16th. Instead, we will be having an all day camp at
Woonsocket from 9am to 3pm to finish learning our routine for parade.
5th Grade- Beginning Band
Tomorrow, Tuesday, Sep. 13th, Dave Williams will be in
the Woonsocket for an instrument showcase from 6pm to 8pm. Stop by and get your
student an instrument and then stick around to support your Blackhawks
volleyball!!
FFA
Wessington Land and Range School will be held
next Wednesday, September 21st. Leave times TBA.
The signup sheet for the Wessington Land and
Range School is on the board in the Ag Room. Sign up deadline is the end
of the day Tuesday.
