A rep from
SE Tech will be here at noon today to visit with any interested HS students
ACADEMICS
We are having issues with chrome book
chargers being left at home and students grabbing chargers not belonging to
them. Each student is responsible for
their own charger that is assigned to their chrome book. Students have until this Thursday, February
11th, to make sure that each charger is back here at school. If this problem is not fixed by Thursday, ALL
chrome books will be taken away for a week, or until all chargers are accounted
for. – Mr. Siemsen
Gone to Pierre on the
10th are Logan E & Byron J to the Business Plan Competition
There will be no
guidance on Thursday, February 11th.
Parent
Teacher Conferences are Friday, February 12th from 8:00am to
12:30pm. If your parent can’t attend,
but would like to visit with the teachers, please ask them to call or e-mail
them. Student whose parents confer with
the teachers will be given bonus points in that class. The deadline for receiving bonus points will
be noon on February 19th.
ATHLETICS
Good Luck
to the Basketball teams as they host Iroquois in Woonsocket today. The C boys tip off at 4:00 followed by the
JVB, VG, and VB. Pep Band will play. These games will be aired on Woonsocket’s
Santel Channel 104 and on their HS Cube.

Congratulations
to the JH Blackhawk teams on their wins in Iroquois last night. The girls won 48-9 and the boys won 39-27.
The boys
Blackhawk BB team took down #2 rated Wolsey-Wessington on Saturday by a score
of 61-44 to move their record to 12-3. Helping the effort:
Dillon-16 pts, 9 reb, 1 ast Trevor-8 pts, 2 ast Tucker-
5 pts,5 reb, 13 ast, 1 st Trent- 3 pts, 3 reb, 2 ast, 1
st Josh-13 pts, 3 reb, 3 st Brady- 14 pts, 6 reb,
1 ast Rex-2 pts, 1 ast, 1 st Wyatt-1 reb, 2
st We shot 23/45 FG for 51% and 7/13
FT for 54% . We had 14 turnovers and outrebounded them 27-22. Coach
Olson’s comments: The boys played with a lot of heart and hustle. I
thought we outworked them for all but the 3 minutes to start the 3rd
qt. The boys were able to put enough defensive pressure on them to keep
them from getting comfortable. Offensively I thought we shared the ball
well and had great swings to find the open man getting 19 assists on 23 field
goals. Overall the boys played some great basketball for the week - going
3-0 against some very good teams. We are taking positive strides as we
head towards the last couple weeks of the regular season.
