Boys Basketball
The
Blackhawk Boys BB lost in the championship game of the 281 Conf tourney to
Wolsey-Wessington by a score of 65-53. Helping the cause: Dillon-
17 pts, 10 reb, 3 ast 1 blk Trevor- 7 pts, 3
st Tucker- 7 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast, 1 st
Josh-8 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast Garrett L- 1 reb, Brady-
12 pts, 5 reb, Wyatt-2 pts, 4 reb, 2 ast
We were 19/53 from the field for 36% and 10/21 for 48% on FT.
We were out rebounded 32-27. Coach Olson’s comments: We knew going
in this was going to take a complete effort to win and the main focus was
rebounding and 50/50 balls. We lost both those categories. Offensively I
thought we were taking good shots at the basket but missed some we normally
make. We attacked the rim the first half and got to the FT line 15 times.
Second half I thought we settled some and only got to the line 6 times. We
shot poorly on FT which we need to convert in close games. Defensively we
need to get better and will be a focus of ours. The boys are looking
forward to getting back on the court against #3 Canistota on Saturday.
