We are Blackhawk proud today! Congratulations to the SCW boys as they defeated 2nd seeded Howard last night by a score of 57 to 52. The boys will continue to strut their stuff at the Corn Palace on Friday vs Colman-Egan at 8:00. The game will be aired on KMIT 105.9. A Pep Rally will take place Friday at 2:30 to cheer our boys on to another win!!!

An extended congratulation goes out to Noah Dickson on being the Scared Hoops/BSN Sports Player of the week for last Friday’s performance against Wess. Springs.  Noah scored 27 points and pulled down 21 rebounds to break the rebounding school record!

Eligibility and MS updates are due at noon Thursday, March 5th. Please let the office know when you are done posting. Campus will generate the missing assignment report Wednesday afternoon - please mark assignments as missing. Next week grades will be due Wednesday for report cards to go out on Thursday, March 12th.

Letcher American Legion Auxiliary is hosting a blood drive tomorrow from 4:15 - 6:15 PM. If you cannot give at the school please call Sandi Ruml 248-2568 to donate in Letcher.

Wednesday, March 11th is a workday for senior projects, and Friday March 27th Sr. projects will be presented to judges.

The Wessington Springs FCCLA chapter is sponsoring a 3 on 3 tournament at the WS gym Saturday, March 7th for 3rd graders to adults. A 3-3 basketball tournament will take place at the Hitchcock Gym Saturday, March 28th. Details are on the bulletin board outside the office and registration is due March 4th.

Music
A local music contest will be help March 12th at the SC school.  Miss. West and  Mrs. Easton have been collaborating and a music contest will take place at Sanborn Central from about 8:30-11:30 and Woonsocket from about 12:30-3:30. Please view the following link and see what time your student is scheduled to perform.

On March 18th 9-12 band students are performing at Region Large Group contest. They will leave in the morning and return around 1:30pm. In preparation for the contest, they will be rehearsing with Woonsocket during Block 2 on March 11th and March 17th.   Students involved include the following:Katie Schmit, Dayton Easton, Dana Schelske, Sidney Salas, Brighten Hitchcock, Alexis Kelly, Samantha Dean, Michael Hoffman, Toby Kneen, Brady Larson, and Casady Dean

Community
Please help support Chloe Ruml’s senior project by attending a FREE Family Fun BINGO event from 1-3 at the Letcher Community center Sunday, March 15th. This event is geared towards activities for children in a rural area. The event will kick off with a free will offering of soup and sandwich from 11AM- 1PM Proceeds going to Sanborn Central youth attending Washington DC trip. A silent auction from 11AM-1PM followed by bingo at 1PM.
