Friday November 30th

Friday November 30th

Blue Day

Girls practice at SC and boys at Woonsocket today

Due to the weather, 3rd/4th Grade Basketball practice is cancelled for tomorrow.

Sanborn Central tries extremely hard to accommodate everyone’s busing needs.  Not many school districts would allow a family to have multiple drop off locations for students.  The amount of time spent writing and delivering bus notes to students, teachers, and drivers can get over whelming.  It would be a huge help if changes were given to the office prior to noon each day.   We do understand that emergency situations arise and are more than willing to assist with those.  However, it’s very frustrating when a student tells us all day that he is going to grandma’s after school and we don’t get a call until 2:20.  Feel free to send a note with your child to be brought to the office right away in the morning.  We take pride in being flexible and accommodating our students and parents, but with changes to a students bus routine it can jeopardize that child going to the right location

JUST A REMINDER!!!!
PLEASE DO NOT TEXT OR CALL YOUR BUS DRIVER ESPECIALLY WITH THE WINTER WEATHER SETTING IN.
THE NUMBER WHICH GOES DIRECTLY TO THE BUS RADIO IS
605-495-4186.
SOMEONE IS USUALLY AROUND THE BUS RADIO AT 6:00AM.
YOU CAN ALSO CALL THE SCHOOL AFTER 6:45 AM AND DURING THE NORMAL SCHOOL DAY.

Students – Don’t forget that extra help day is quickly approaching. A brief glance at the number of missing assignments and failing grades indicates that many of you wish to come to school on
December 7th. If you need help with using your portal to see what you need to do, please talk to Mary!!!!

Sanborn County 4-H Shooting Sports begins in January.  In preparation for the season, we have scheduled two options for 4-H Shooting Sports registration & required safety training at the 4-H Building:  Thursday, Nov 29 or Monday, Dec 3.  We will begin from 6:30-7 with a light supper/registration, and then have safety training at 7 which will take about an hour. Kids may choose to take the safety test at the end of the training or take during shooting sports practice that will kick off in January. Cost for registration is $15 per shooter.  Shooting Sports practice will begin on Sunday, January 6th at 2 pm and regular practice will run 2-6 each Sunday for guns & archery, and 6-9 each Tuesday for guns only. We are also working on adding 22 rifle to our discipline options (must be junior age level or older – ages 11-18).  If you are interested in more information, contact Paula Linke at plinke@santel.net or 605.350.2813.
