The office
at Sanborn Central will be closed on Friday, May 26th and also on
Monday, May 29th (Memorial Day). Tuesday, May 30th summer
hours (9:00am-2:00pm) will begin.
ATHLETICS
If you heard a rumor that there would
be weight lifting next week at SC – plans changed. Coach Flatten will be busy with track
practice as we have several Blackhawks headed to state!

Boys Individuals: Logun Feistner will compete in the 100 & 200. Spens Schlicht will compete in 300M Hurdles.

Just a reminder
that athletes in grades 7th, 10th, as well as any new athlete will need
physicals before the athletic season begins. You can schedule a physical
with your doctor at any time. Physical
forms can be found at

The Department
of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE) is offering two exciting focus
areas at South Dakota State University’s Fishback Summer Scholars Program
this summer. Talented and motivated high school students are immersed in one
week of “college life” in Brookings, SD. Students explore academic and research
experiences as well as enrichment and social programs designed to help prepare
for the next step in their intellectual, personal and professional development.
The two
options for specialized focus areas offered by our department include:

Precision Agriculture
·
Water and Environment protection through good engineering
This
year’s Summer Scholar opportunity is July 9-14,

5K Run/Walk
Registration Due Friday, May 26th
We will be
doing a run/walk again this year during Letcher Alumni weekend. This year our
walk will be for Childhood Cancer. We will be doing the event In Memory of
Tanna and In Honor of Paisley King. The run/walk will be held on Saturday
June 10th at 10:00 a.m. in Letcher! We
hope to see everyone there! If you would just like a shirt we still need you to
fill out the form. I will post the registration form on the page as well
