Congratulations Lady Blackhawks on
your win last night! Tonight we play for
the District Championship with JVC at 7:00 in Wolsey. The player bus will leave at 5:15 from Woony. There will be a pep rally in Woonsocket at
2:30 today. All HS Students will be
required to attend – please dismiss at 2:10 to load the bus out front! BLACKHAWK FEVER!

ACADEMICS
Tuesday,
November 8th is Election Day. We plan on bringing voters into
the cafeteria to vote based on grades. Teachers will be able to vote then
also. We should have some voting booths setup, maybe three or so.
We will have student council reps in the cafeteria. If MS student
council wants to help, that would be great.
A student Council Member will come to your classroom when it is time for
you to vote….. 8:30-9:00 HS Students; 9:00-9:20 MS Students; 9:20-9:50
K-2 (In this order); 9:50-10:10 3-5 (In this order)
The most
important race at SC is that of Governor!!!!
The three candidates for "Governor of Sanborn Central", Jonny
Forschler, Myah Selland, & Logun Feistner are campaigning around the school.
Students have completed the first "Sanborn Republic" newspaper

ATHLETICS
The
Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central Blackhawk Football program will
hold their Awards night on Monday, November 21st at Wessington
Springs at 6:30 pm. This will be potluck. More information will be sent
out later next week. This is for all Blackhawk football players in grades
7-12. This year we will have a special guest speaker.

FFA
SCW FFA will leave for District 4 FFA Leadership Development
Events (LDEs) at 12:45 p.m. from Woonsocket and 1:00 p.m. from Sanborn Central
on Monday, November 7th. Sanborn Central - Please excuse students from
choir and study hall 15 minutes early so that they can change and be ready to
load when the bus arrives. Once changed, wait in the Ag Room for the bus
to arrive. On Monday 4th Block Ag students
will have privileges.
MUSIC
A
tentative Winterguard schedule has been uploaded to our Google Drive……November
14th has already been moved to Woonsocket. A parent meeting will be held Keep in mind
when viewing this that it is TENTATIVE
BOOSTER
CLUB
Co-Ed Volleyball at Sanborn Central on Sunday’s. We will
start on November 13th and the 20th, then December 4th,
11th and 18th. It will cost $15 per person. Teams
will consist of 3 men and 3 women playing. If you have a team ready to
go, just let me know, Tambi.wormstadt@fcsamerica.com
or 605-770-3077. Or you can talk to any booster club member. Otherwise if
you don’t have a team and would still like to play, come and we will put you
with a team if we can. We will start at 3 pm each Sunday and go until
teams have played. There will be a waiver to sign if you are
playing. Hope to see you there!!
COMMUNITY
The
Sanborn Central High School Student Council will be hosting a Veteran's Day
Program on Thursday, November 10th beginning at 9:00 AM. An invitation is extended to area Veterans
(and the public) to attend as this is a day we honor you!
American
Education week is November 14th -17th. November 17th is
Community/Parent Day – If you would be willing to read to a class (or know
someone who would) please let us know. Community
members/parents are more than welcome.
