to the Blackhawks with a full schedule of basketball today and tomorrow. The
Ladies play Iroquois in the 1st round of the 281 Conference at 3:30
today in Wolsey. The Guys play Iroquois
at 5:30 tomorrow in Wolsey. These games
will be aired on KOKK (1210 am), Wolsey’s HS Cube, and Santel’s Channel 102.
Varsity
girls basketball players plus Samantha D & Katie S will be dismissed at
1:50 (when the bell rings) for the game in Wolsey.
Boys will
practice at Woonsocket today.
Due to the
cold forecast Bailey’s VB Camp for this Sunday, January 17th has
been moved to Sunday, February 7th.

ATHLETICS
The
Blackhawk Boys lost a close game to JVC last night by a score of 71-65.
Helping the cause: Dillon- 2 pts, 5 reb; Trevor- 12 pts, 1 reb,
2 ast, 2 st; Tucker- 10 pts, 2 reb, 3 ast; Trent-1
pt, 2 reb 3 st; Josh- 9 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast, 2 st;
Brady- 27 pts, 13 reb, 1 ast Rex- 4 pts;
Wyatt- 1 reb Coach Olson’s comments: Two things
stand out in this loss. Firstly, too many unforced turnovers. 20
turnovers is 20 missed opportunities at the basket. We need to value each
possession much better. Secondly, the free throw discrepancy between the
teams. JVC shot 27 to our 7 attempts. Our team was a little
frustrated by the lack of consistency in calls but thought our team battled
until the end. The team is looking forward to our upcoming conference
tourney which will be very competitive.

Hanson Classic Info
The 34th Annual
Hanson Girls and Boys Classic Courtside Seats will go on
sale, Tuesday, January 5th at 9:00 am. Courtside seats will cost $25.00
each and they’re good for the entire event that day. All other general
admission tickets can be purchased the day of the event.
The Girls Hanson Classic will
take place on January 16th starting at 9:00 am.
The Boys Hanson Classic will take
place on January 23rd starting at 10:00 am.

Letcher Junior Youth will meet at the SC Gym Monday, January 18th
