SCW Community and Families,
During the March School Board Meetings at both Sanborn Central and Woonsocket, there will be a motion for the dissolution of our FFA co-op. This is a friendly dissolution that will benefit both schools’ FFA participants. Due to the increased number of participants at both schools and two certified Ag/FFA Advisors available, the decision to split up the co-op would provide students from each school the ability to participate in events that are better suited for them and allow both chapters to meet more frequently. Our chapters will still take transportation together to events and work together to build both chapters positively. The SCW FFA fund will be split equally between both chapters.
The SCW FFA co-op is the only cooperative in the state, and both schools are in agreement that the dissolution is best for our students moving forward.
Supt. Flatten and the Sanborn Central School Board
Supt. Dr. Rod Weber and the Woonsocket School Board
There will be a short meeting for next years grades 6-12th during SRB today for kids interested in playing football next year.

Volleyball practice today has been moved to Sanborn Central from 3:30-5:00.

Post Prom Announcement-April 11

The Junior Parent Post-Prom Committee is excited to share plans for an extended night of entertainment following the dance! After prom ends, students will have time to change clothes and board a chartered bus for a safe and fun trip to Sky Zone in Sioux Falls. We anticipate arrival time in Sioux Falls at 1 am, with a return to Forestburg by 5am.

At Sky Zone, students can enjoy a variety of attractions such as Ultimate Dodgeball, Foam Zone, SkySlam, Zip Line, and more. We’ll also provide food and drinks so everyone can refuel while having a blast.

Important: All Sanborn Central students and their dates who plan to attend must complete an online waiver before participating. Please visit Sky Zone Sioux Falls Waiver to fill it out now, so you don’t forget!

Sanborn Central school also requires a waiver to be completed. This will be added to the blog at a later date.

We hope the high school students are ready to make memories this April! If you have questions you can reach out to Jen Fouberg or Steph Edwards.
