Wessington Springs JH Basketball Jamboree – February 21, 2026
We will just be playing round robin. All teams will play 2 games.
Schedule-No school transportation provided.

10:30 am Boys – WS vs HT Boys – SCW vs Miller

· No Team Entry fee
· Gate Admission – Adults - $5 and Students are Free
· Concessions available
· Locker Rooms available
· Basketballs will be provided
· We will play 15 minute running clock havles. Clock will stop last minute of each half. Each team allowed 3 timeouts per game.
· Overtime will be 2 minutes – if still tied after 2 minutes game will result in a tie.
· Warm up time will be 7 minutes for each game.
· Halftime will be 3 minutes.

On March 11th, we will be taking students in grades 9-11 to Huron from 12:00-2:30 to tour the CTE buildings in Huron. Leave time will be 11:20.

Post Prom Announcement-April 11

The Junior Parent Post-Prom Committee is excited to share plans for an extended night of entertainment following the dance! After prom ends, students will have time to change clothes and board a chartered bus for a safe and fun trip to Sky Zone in Sioux Falls. We anticipate arrival time in Sioux Falls at 1 am, with a return to Forestburg by 5am. 

At Sky Zone, students can enjoy a variety of attractions such as Ultimate Dodgeball, Foam Zone, SkySlam, Zip Line, and more. We’ll also provide food and drinks so everyone can refuel while having a blast. 

Important: All Sanborn Central students and their dates who plan to attend must complete an online waiver before participating. Please visit Sky Zone Sioux Falls Waiver to fill it out now, so you don’t forget!

Sanborn Central school also requires a waiver to be completed. This will be added to the blog at a later date.

The SCW Lady Blackhawks will play Dell Rapids St. Marys on Tuesday, Feb. 24 for the 2^nd round in the Region Basketball Tourney.  The game will be held at Sanborn Central at 6:00PM.

Community

A community breakfast will be served from 9-12 at the Woonsocket Community Center on February 22nd. This breakfast is sponsored by the Sanborn Co. 4-H Congress Delegates.
