Reminder to all students and parents today we dismiss at 1:00 and will not be in secession Friday, April 15th or Monday, April 18th.  Have a Great Easter Break!

We will run eligibility today.

HS students- NHS applications are due by NOON Thursday, April 14th!

Both the MS and HS track meets for today have been CANCELLED.

HS Track will practice at Woonsocket today at 1:30, JH will not have practice. 

The next blood drive will be on Thursday, May 5th from 9:00-1:00.

Tuesday, May 10th Grades 1-3 will participate in Declaim starting at 8:30 in the gym.

Dayton, Michael, and Brooklyn, you need to pay for your prom shirts.

Students who were in grades K-5 during the 2021-2022 school year are eligible to participate in the summer school program. This will be a great opportunity to “Jumpstart” the 2022-2023 school year and also to alleviate academic regression and educational gaps. The activities are planned for June 7-30 (Tuesday-Thursday) from 8:00-12:00. A snack will be provided. No cost to participate. Transportation will be the responsibility of the family. If you are interested in having your child participate in these valuable activities, please complete the bottom of this letter and return to school by April 21.

Howard Relays are cancelled for Tuesday of next week.

Tuesday, April 19th there will be soccer practice at 5:30

Thursday, April 21st the varsity golf team will travel to Miller with a 10:00 tee off.

Soccer games will take place on Thursday, April 21st at SC vs. Woonsocket.

Friday, April 22nd the JH track team will travel to Bridgewater for a 1:00 start with the bus leaving at 11:00.  The Varsity track team will be in Mt. Vernon for the Greenway Relays starting at 12:30.  The bus will leave SC at 10:45 with the HS team.

In honor of "Month of the Military Child" in April, the VFW Post 2750 Auxiliary in Mitchell has teamed up with Logan Luxury Theaters and Community Sponsors to purchase tickets for our military kids in the area!  Please click on the following link for additional information. 

Military Child Information

Sanborn Central has an immediate opening for a custodian position with primary functions to provide maintenance, preventative services, and cleaning of the assigned district facility.  Employee is responsible for setting up own personal schedule and sequence of tasks within the time frame of the general schedule established by the Supervisor and is responsible for accomplishing his/her assigned tasks in a safe manner, reporting safety hazards, and any accidents promptly. 
Qualifications

1.) High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
2.) One (1) year of related experience in the maintenance field (a combination
of training and experience may be considered)
Job Specification
1.) This is an hourly (8/day) 12-month/year position. Some overtime may also be associated with certain parts of the position
2.) Compensation will be determined by experience and expertise (ranging from $14 - $20) with retirement match in the South Dakota Retirement system, vacation time, and available health care options.

The Artesian 1st Lutheran Ladies will have their annual Easter bake sale on Saturday, April 16th from 9:30-11:00 am at the Artesian Community Center.  Coffee, juice, and delicious homemade rolls will be served. The ladies will also be having a quilt raffle. The quilt is a queen size beautiful blue tumbling block pattern. Tickets will be sold in advance, and also the day of the bake sale. Proceeds will go to local and mission projects. The winner will be drawn the 16th, and need not be present to win.  This event is held in conjunction with the CIA Easter Egg Hunt.
