Congratulations to our District Oral Interp participants:  Koby Larson - Oratory, Quentin Schmidt - Poetry, Renee Farmer and Madi Moody – Duet, and Catherine Bechen, Aaron Stevens, Levi Swearingen, and Jamie Hanson are in Reader's Theatre. They will leave here at 7:45.  The competition is in Mitchell at DWU on Wednesday, November 4^th.

We wish our All State Chorus members nothing but safe travels, lots of fun, and great memories as they hit the road to Rapid City for All State Chorus – Breanne Brandenburg, Devin Garrett, Byron Jessen, and Tamra Mann!  They will depart here at 11:45. The actual concert will be aired on SDPBS at 8:00 pm, October 31^st.

Orange Day

Good Luck to the Lady Blackhawks as they host MV/Plank today in Woonsocket.  The 7^th grade starts the evening off at 4:00 followed by the 8^th, C, JV and Varsity teams.   If you can’t attend, tune in to Santel channel 104 for the live broadcast.

Pep Band plays tonight.  Mr. Kroeger asks that you be there by 6:45.

ATHLETICS

Due to Football play offs with Mt.Vernon/Plank at Sanborn Central on Tuesday, October 27^th there has been a change in 5/6^th basketball practice.  There will be no practice October 27^th in Woonsocket as scheduled but we have added practice on November 2^nd at Woonsocket.

Join the Blackhawk Winterguard for a tailgate supper at Sanborn Central on Tuesday October 27th as we host the football playoff game!  They will be serving burgers, chips and drinks from 5:45 pm until gone. Burger meal for $5, $6 for cheeseburger meal, and $3 for an additional cheeseburger. Meal includes- burger, chips, and pop.

Kool 98 http://kool98.com/  and Q107 http://q107radio.com/ will be both broadcasting all of our playoff games as long as we keep winning. 

Reminder that activity passes for the 1st round football game on Tuesday night will not be accepted. Admission for the game is $7 for adults and $5 for students. 

Parking around the field is reserved for Senior Citizens and the handicapped.  Thanks for being considerate.

Good Luck to the Lady Blackhawks as they are on the road to Bridgewater tonight.   The 7^th grade girls will serve at 4:00 followed by 8^th, C, JV, and Varsity.  The bus will leave here at 2:45 with 7^th thru C players and at 4:25 for JV and varsity.

Just a reminder that Mr. Kroeger is gone today.  No Band or lessons! Study halls will be held instead - 8th grade will report to Mrs. Coulthard at 11:35, 9-12 Band to the gym, 6^th will report to Ms. Farrell-Poncelet, and 7^th to Mrs. Ischen.

HS Honor Roll and Student of the Quarter assembly will be at 10:55 this morning in the Commons.

MS Honor Roll and Student of the Quarter assembly will be at 2:50 today in the Music Room.

Just a reminder that there will be no band or lessons tomorrow as Mr. Kroeger will be gone.  8^th grade band will report to Mrs. Coulthard at 11:35 for a study hall.  9-12 band will report to the gym for study hall.  6^th will have study hall at 2:39 with Ms. Farrell-Poncelet and 7^th with Mrs. Ischen.

Athletics

Join the Blackhawk Winterguard for a tailgate supper at Sanborn Central on Tuesday October 27th as we host the football playoff game!  They will be serving burgers, chips and drinks from 5:45 pm until gone. Burger meal for $5, $6 for cheeseburger meal, and $3 for an additional cheeseburger. Meal includes- burger, chips, and pop.

Going to Bridgewater Friday for Volleyball: The big bus will leave Woony at 2:30PM and pick up SC at 2:40PM. The mini bus with JV and Varsity players will leave at 4:15 from Woony and pick up SC at 4:25.

The SC/W FFA membership voted $20 individual dues at the October chapter meeting.  Please get your dues in to the business manager or Mr. Gross by Nov. 30th.
