A 30 year teacher at Sanborn Central is Mrs.
Whitney. She graduated from Madison High
School and received her BS from Northern, her MEd from SDSU, and her EdS from
USD. Her dad was a teacher and a
superintendent plus several teachers encouraged her along the way to go into
education. She enjoys seeing the
students and watching as they grow and learn.
Mrs. Whitney majored in trombone at college. She was able to travel to London and Paris
with the NSU Stage Band the summer after her 3rd year of
college. She used to play piano and
trombone in a dance band called the “Tommy Matthews Band”. Mrs. Whitney, thank you for devoting so much
of your career and talent to Sanborn Central.
