FFA State Fair
If your child is interested in showing at the State Fair in the FFA division please send me an email at shane.gross@k12.sd.us    I have talked to many of you and have an idea of who wants to show but I want to make sure I don’t miss anyone. Any student, incoming 7-12 grades, is eligible to show. The only requirement is that you must be an FFA member this coming school year. After I know who is interested, I will then be contacting parents to set up a time to sign the forms and talk about the fair. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.  I have uploaded the FFA State Fair book to the google drive - FFA.
Please note that entries must be postmarked by August 21st. No exceptions and no late entries accepted!  Shane Gross

The first week of August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning. The weeks that come before are only a climb from balmy spring, and those that follow a drop to the chill of autumn, but the first week of August is motionless, and hot. It is curiously silent, too, with blank white dawns and glaring noons, and sunsets smeared with too much color. Often at night there is lightning, but it quivers all alone. ~Natalie Babbitt, Tuck Everlasting
