We are trying to get numbers for our summer ball programs. Completing the registration will allow us to see how many teams we may be able to field this year, this doesn’t guarantee that we will have all age groups.  The maximum age for a boy is 12 years old on May 1, 2015. The maximum age for girls is 14 on January 1, 2015.  We would like to have registration completed by March 27, 2015 and doing it on-line will make it so much easier for us!  A link will also appear in the e-news.  Please complete the on-line registration by going to https://fs22.formsite.com/ajuecker/A-L_SignUp/index.html

The groundbreaking for the expansion of the Letcher Community Center and Fire Hall will be at 5 pm Saturday March 28 In Letcher.  Lunch will follow at 6:15 and the annual Poker Tournament for the  Letcher Volunteer Fire Department (fundraiser) will begin at 7 pm.  Everyone is welcome to all of the events .

The bake sale will be held in conjunction with the CIA Easter Egg Hunt.

Orange Day
We are sure that the band will represent us well at the contest in Chamberlain today – Have fun and enjoy the experience!  It’s Black Concert attire and bring money for food. You will be dismissed at 10:20 to load at 10:30.  Make sure you have your instrument and music.
Rock solid will meet at 6:15pm on Wednesday, March 25th at the Letcher Community Church. Bailey and Tracy Moody will provide the meal.  We will be discussing our upcoming Easter breakfast.  Hope to see you there!  Rock Solid is open to any student in grades 9-12.  Bring a friend!
Mrs. Enfield will be gone several days this week.  If the lights are off in the library – it is CLOSED!

The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA attended the Tri-Valley Career Development Events (CDEs) yesterday. We continue to grow our skills through these experiential learning events.  There was large number of students and chapters at this event, 44 schools and 1131 participants.  We again made a strong showing in multiple events.  We will build on this over the next week in preparation for our final CDE at Lennox.  (We had to change to Lennox from Miller as Miller CDEs got moved to a date that conflicts for us.)  Wish us luck as we finish our local spring CDEs and make our final push to prepare for State Convention.  Tri-Valley CDEs Results - Ag Mechanics-14th place team of 33 - Tate Ziebart-18th, Ty Ziebart-52nd, and Aaron Stevens  (127 participants).  Agronomy-1st place team of 20 - Jonathan Linke-1st, Nathan Linke-2nd, Aaron Linke-3rd, Bailey Schmiedt-16th, Tyler Johnson-35th (67 participants).  Farm Business Management-2nd place team of 16 - Jarid Bechen- 3rd, Garrett Larson-12th, Dillon Moore-13th, Trevor Olson, Cole Wormstadt, Garrett Dean (44 participants).  Floriculture-4th place team of 30 - Taylor Burkel-7th, Kyla Morgan-18th, Dayna Opsahl-32nd, Destiny Brick, Lacey Christensen (85 participants).  Horse Judging - Sydney Zeller-34th, Catherine Bechen (83 participants).  Meats-5th place team of 15 - Riley Schmiedt-8th, Charlie Enfield-18th, Drew Olinger-17th, Wyatt Feistner-18th (42 participants).  Natural Resources-13th place team of 35 - Jared Goldammer - 42nd, Cody Ruml - 67th, Shay Swenson-68th, Shaun Snedeker, Trent Kingsbury (137 participants).  Veterinary Science - Callie Bezpaletz, Abby Doering, Alissa Ball, Colton Hotchkiss, Tristan Ziebart  (118 participants).  FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for "Premier Leadership, Personal Growth, and Career Success" through agricultural education.
