The Blackhawk Boys BB team defeated Hitchcock-Tulare on Saturday by a score of 59-34.  Helping the cause were:  Dillon-15 pts,6 reb,1 ast,4 st,2 blk   Trevor-5pts,2 ast, 3 st   Tucker-7 pts,3 reb,4 ast,4 st    Josh- 9pts,1 reb,1 ast,4 st   Brady-14 pts,5 reb,2 blk
Rex-2 ast     Wyatt-4 pts,1 reb,3 ast,2 blk     Trent-2 pts,3 reb,1 ast, 1 st   Garrett Larson-1 reb  Trey-3 pts     The team was 25-50 FG for 50% and 3-12 FT for 25%
Coach Olson’s comments: I thought our defense was very good.  We really made them work for their points and they only scored 34 for the game.  We had more steals (17) than they had made FG (13).  Offensively I felt we were very efficient but we just couldn’t make our free throws (3-12).   We only had 50 shots for the game (normally like to get 65) but a lot of that was we were playing so well defensively that they had to work a long time to get their shots off.   We will have a tough game on Tuesday with a young but very talented B/E team.

Stats from the Varsity Girls BB game on Saturday: Blackhawks 59   Hitchcock/Tulare  49
Leaders:  Myah Selland 17 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 8 blocks and 5 steals, Abby Doering  11 points and 5 rebounds, Tayla Weber - 8 points and 4 assists, Tesa Jensen - 6 points
