The Sanborn Central School District sends its condolences to the Senska family on the passing of Keith Senska. He was a valued member of the community and a supporter of our school.

The final total raised from Thursday’s auction to support the playground update is $2,662. We sincerely thank everyone who donated, participated, and supported this important cause. Your generosity will make a meaningful impact on our playground improvement efforts.
The purpose of the 8th Grade Career Fair is to introduce students to various educational pathways and career options. The fair will feature age-appropriate, hands-on activities designed to both engage and educate students about future opportunities. The event is sponsored by Wagner Community Memorial Hospital–Avera, with some booths in the Camp Med lane provided in collaboration with the South Dakota Department of Health (SDDOH).
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We look forward to a great learning experience for our students!

Last day to drop course: January 21st
Tuition and fees due: January 22nd
Last day to withdraw from course: April 7th
Semester ends: May 8th
Dropping vs. Withdrawing:
Dropping a course means you stop taking the class early on, usually at the beginning of the term.
- The course does not show up on your transcript.
- It does not affect your grade or GPA; it's essentially as if the course didn't happen.
- The course does show up on your transcript, often as a “W” (withdrawal).
- A “W” grade does not affect your GPA, but it shows that you started the class and did not finish it. Once you take the course again in college, your grade in the course would replace the "W" grade on your transcript.
- Drop = early, no record
- Withdraw = later, shows as a W
Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns!
