Middle School UpdatesFor the week of October 13th
Notes from Mrs. Gassman and the PBIS TeamI am the Teens as Teachers program advisor, however, I will be gone this Thursday and Friday so Mrs. Olson-VanWinkle has graciously offered to take this year's Teens as Teachers students to the annual training this Thursday, October 16th in Pierre. This opportunity allows students interested in education to go to the training and learn the about the character curriculum, along with classroom management skills, to then come back and teach the character lesson they learned to an elementary class at Sanborn Central. When they fulfill their portfolio and obligations, they earn scholarship money each year.
The training begins at 7:45 AM so they will be leaving at 5:00 AM from the school. The training goes until 12:15 PM so the students will get lunch and then head back home to return by the end of the school day.

October 17th Football Game Location Change:
Hello,
I have made the community aware that we are moving the game to Wessington Springs. It is the best decision for the student-athletes and the team. Our field continues to degrade with the grass dying, and we will not have an unneeded injury occur because of field conditions that could be easily avoided.
Feel free to share with your community.
Thanks,
Corey Flatten
