Awards night is Monday, May 12th at 6:00 PM, beginning with the potluck and award presentation to follow.
Awards Night for grades 6-12:  May 12 
Families are asked to bring a food item to share:  6th grade hot dish, 7th:  hot dish, 8th:  dessert, 9th:  hot dish, 10th:  dessert, 11th:  salad, 12th :  salad  If you have more than one student being honored at Awards Night, please bring the item designated to your oldest student.  Thanks.

The second grade class will be hosting a bake sale for the Huron Humane Society on Wednesday, May 7th starting at 12:30 until the end of the school day in Mrs. Reimers room. Shake out those couch cushions to support a great cause!

Track and Field day for elementary is Thursday, May 15th at 12:45


Lunch Program News:

The Sanborn Central Lunch Program is thrilled to share that we will be launching the Beef to School program for the 2025-26 school year. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Troy and Amy Olson for generously donating a whole beef to the program.

I want to inform you about some possible career exploration opportunities for you this summer 2025!

Titan Machinery Precision Camp - Brookings, SD (SDSU Campus)
July 10th and 11th 
Available for 9th-12th graders
Camp cost: $100
**Titan Machinery Precision camp partners with SDSU to provide students with the opportunity to step into the work boots of a Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic. Students will work through hands-on mechanical projects and solve real-world problems. Throughout the camp experience, they will explore the ins and outs of working on equipment alongside their certified Diesel Technology instructors, industry experts, and current student technicians.

Summer Law Camp - Sioux Falls, SD

June 23-25, 2025

**The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Dakota will be hosting a three-day Summer Law Camp to expose students (rising sophomore through graduating seniors) to various careers in the federal criminal justice system. The camp will take place at our office in downtown Sioux Falls and run from 8:30am-11:30am and 1:00pm-3:00pm. 

The camp is free of charge and space is limited.

Help Wanted- Immediate Opening - The Sanborn County Conservation Office is taking applications for a tree crew and fabric installation crew for the 2025 planting season (May-June). You must be 16 years of age to apply. Starting hourly wage is $16 per hour. Applications are due May 5, 2025. Email your letter of interest with your phone number to sanborncd@santel.net.
