Monday-February 1st-Blue Day

Sanborn Central would like to wish Mrs. Foxley a Happy School Counseling Week!  Thank you Mrs. Foxley for you involvement with our school family.  We are truly blessed with the best!

Today the JH G/B will travel to Ethan for basketball.  The girls will tip-off at 6 followed by the boys at 7:00.  The bus will leave SC at 4:30.  There will be two girls games and one boys game (due to less player's).

Adult and children size Blackhawk mask are available for sale ($5) in the office.

The SCWFFA students have collected coats, snow pants, gloves, and hats for the community. We would like to give them to students that need them. Please contact Mr. Welch at todd.welch@k12.sd.us or call the school at 605-495-4183 regarding availability.

On February 5th the Booster Club is providing a walking taco/hot dog lunch for all staff and students. Students and staff may wear summer attire (No swimsuits) to fit the theme of hating winter. Please remember warm clothes for the bus ride and recess are necessary.

It's that time of year again. Mrs. Wilson is gathering number of children interested in playing soccer in the spring. No dues are being collected at this time, but she will need to have an idea of how many teams and coaches we will have for the upcoming season. Please return this form to SC by Friday, February 5th. soccer letter of intent

In lieu of pep band performances this basketball season, a Pops and Pep Band concert will be held on Monday, March 8th in the Sanborn Central gym at 7pm. All Woonsocket and Sanborn Central 5-12 band students will be performing. This is a graded performance, so please put this date in your calendar. Family, friends, and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend!

*the CBH Academic Fest has been moved from Wednesday, February 24th to Wednesday , March 3rd.

Friday, February 5th the JH girls and boys  will be at Wolsey with the girls starting at 6:00, and the boys to follow at 7:00.  The bus will leave SC at 4:15

Saturday, February 6th the boys and girls the will play at SC  Woony vs. Wolsey/Wessington.  The girls JV will hit the court at 12  followed by the boys JV at 1.  The girls V will play at 2:30 followed by the boys V at 4.  This double header will be on a rolling schedule.

News From Mrs. Foxley
The Build Dakota Scholarship is now open. Seniors attending a technical school, please contact Mrs. Foxley to see if your program is eligible for the full-ride scholarship!

The application for Summer 2021 dual credit classes opens February 1. Please see Mrs. Foxley with questions.

Students interested in learning about healthcare jobs in SD can attend the Virtual Scrubs Camp on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021. Students will have the option of attending either a half-day in the morning or afternoon or for full day. Please see Mrs. Foxley if you are interested in attending!

Boys State applications are open to all juniors and seniors for the 2021 session! Boys State will be held May 31-June 4 on Northern State University's campus. Applications are due May 1. Please see Mrs. Foxley with questions about how to apply. 

Girls State applications are open! The event will be held on May 31-June 5 on University of South Dakota. Applications are due March 15. Please see Mrs. Foxley with questions about how to apply.
