Thursday-January 21st (Orange Day)

Reminded to all students, and parents eligibility will start today for the second semester.   

The Blackhawk ladies will play Highmore/Harrold in Highmore for the 281 championship this evening at 6:00.
Highmore-Harrold school plans to be in Phase II status of our Covid protocols at the school and for school activities for this event. That will result in the following requirements and recommendations: Requirements
MASK will be REQUIRED to be worn by all fans and workers, and WILL NOT be provided.

The boys will battle Hitchcock/Tulare tomorrow at 6:00 in Woonsocket.  

Candygram forms have been sent home with the elementary students.  Middle and high school students can pick them up in Mrs. Farrel-Poncelet's room.  The office will also have extra copies.  They are due back on February 3. 

The Vitalant NHS Blood Drive will take place Thursday, January 28th in the 4H Building.  Vitalant is offering COVID-19 antibody testing with each complete blood draw! If you are interested in donating please contact Megan Wilson (Megan.Wilson@k12.sd.us or call the school 605-495-4183). Volunteer blood donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Masks are required and temperature checks will be performed.
There are only 2 spots left, if you want to donate please contact Mrs. Wilson, or call the school at 605-495-4183 ASAP.

It's that time of year again! Time to get something sweet for your sweet! The junior class has begun their roses and fudge sales. All orders are due by tomorrow with a delivery date of February 11. 
  
The SCWFFA students have collected coats, snow pants, gloves, and hats for the community. We would like to give them to students that need them. Please contact Mr. Welch at todd.welch@k12.sd.us or call the school at 605-495-4183 regarding availability.

Extra Curricular
Dakota State is looking forward to hosting your teams at the DSU Boys’ Basketball Classic on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021. There have 10 teams travelling to Madison for a full day of great basketball.

Monday, January 25th the JH girls and boys will rake on Corsica in Woonsocket.  The girls will take the court at 6 followed by the boys at 7.

Tuesday, January 26th the Blackhawk boys and girls will compete with Hanson at SC.  The JV girls will start the action at 4 followed by the JV boys at 5.  Varsity girls will hit the floor at 6:30 and Varsity boys at 8:00.
