Woonsocket Land and Range School - Wednesday, Sept. 6 - Leave SC @ 7:55 a.m. and Woonsocket @ 8:10 a.m.  Return to school around 1:50 p.m.

Other Notes: Let Mr. Gross know if you are loading at a school other than the one you attend.

                     Everyone will need a pencil; Range will also need their clipboard. 

                     All members need to bring $6 to pay for their meal.  You can give this money to Mr. Gross ahead of time.

All-State Chorus auditions will be held in the music room on Friday, September 8th from 11:30-12:25.  Students wishing to audition should report to the music room at that time.

The South Dakota FFA Foundation is accepting applications for the Blue Jackets FFA program.  SC/W FFA can submit 5 applications to the Foundation.  The program provides a scholarship to pay for a member’s FFA jacket and tie/scarf.  Freshmen are encouraged to submit an application. - Mr. Gross

Congratulations Cross Country team!!!!!  In Mitchell Saturday - Varsity Boys:  Austin placed 13th overall and 4th out of B schools; Malachi placed 21st overall 7th in B schools.  JV Boys:  Braxton placed 4th overall and 2nd out of B schools.  JV Girls:  Hannah placed 3rd overall and 1st in B schools.  Varsity Girls:  Ellie placed 15th overall and 5th in B schools; Trinity placed 21st overall and 7th in B schools.  MS Girls:  Bella placed 30th overall and 5th in B schools

JH/JV vs. BEE tonight in Springs at 4:30.  It was originally scheduled in Woony.  JH players will be dismissed at 3:05 to get ready to leave – Tryce, Mason, Noah, Leighton T, Leighton N, Attley, Michael, Toby, Jared, and Brady.   JV will have time after school.  NO CONCESSIONS at the game today!

Congratulations to the 7th & 8th grade football teams. They played Redfield/Doland in Redfield last night.  7th Grade ended in a 0-0 tie and 8th Grade won 12-0 in their first games of the year.

Good Luck to the Varsity Football players as they host BEE at Woonsocket tonight.  Kickoff is at 7:00pm.  The pep band is scheduled to play tonight also.

9-12 VB practices at SC tonight and 7-8^th at Woonsocket.

Good Luck to the soccer team as they play Mitchell tomorrow.

The Booster Club would like to invite the Sanborn Central community to assist with installing some new playground equipment and fence on Sunday, August 27 at 4:00! MS Band students wanting to drop must have a note from parents.

Campus will automatically generate parent notifications for missing assignments in MS and HS at 1:30 today.  Make sure you have everything turned in!!!!

FFA

SC/W FFA is introducing “Remind” app texts for FFA parents and community members.  We have used Remind the past couple years amongst our members.  We are looking to expand our use of this system to enhance our communication with other interested parties.

If you would like to receive our parent announcement text messages, text the message @scwffa2 to the number 81010.  Announcements and reminders sent out on this system will consist of due dates for forms and applications, leave times, and issues related to operation of FFA events.

If you would like to receive our community announcement text messages, text the message @scwffa3 to the number 81010.  Announcements and reminders sent out on this system will be general in nature and more useful to those without children in school.

You do not have to download the associated mobile app to use this system.  If you at some time not longer want to be a part of the announcement system, email Mr. Gross (Shane.gross@k12.sd.us) and he will remove you.

The South Dakota FFA Foundation is accepting applications for the Blue Jackets FFA program.  SC/W FFA can submit 5 applications to the Foundation.  The program provides a scholarship to pay for a member’s FFA jacket and tie/scarf.  Freshmen are encouraged to submit an application. - Mr. Gross

Have you heard??????  The SCW Winterguard Ladies are selling raffle tickets for the Garth Brooks Concert!!!!  They have 4 tickets ($300 value) in Section 118 for Sunday, September 17^th at 7:30pm at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.  Raffle tickets are being sold at $10 each or 3 chances for $20.  All 4 tickets will go to one winner. BOOSTER CLUB

The Booster Club would like to invite the Sanborn Central community to assist with installing some new playground equipment and fence on Sunday, August 27 at 4:00! The students will be really excited to get to play on this equipment!!  This is a rather big project and we would encourage everyone to attend!!  If you have questions please contact Roxann Larson at 770-2077.
