Results
from The Hanson JHB Tournament: JH Boys
finished in sixth place. They lost to Hanson 15-34, defeated MVP 39-33,
and lost to Ethan 33-43. Congratulations
to Tater Moody for winning the free throw competition after making 20 out
of 25 free throws.
Get your
first look at the Blackhawk boys basketball team tonight at 6pm in
Woonsocket. We will be hosting an intrasquad scrimmage for the high
school players. We are asking for snack donations which will be used by
team on the bus rides to practices. We have some hungry boys after
school! Some popular items in the past have been crackers, cookies,
jerky, granola bars, etc. Thanks for your support! Go Blackhawks!
Girls
Practice at SC today.
There
is no practice tonight for JH Boys Basketball.
3rd
& 4th basketball will practice at Woonsocket today after school. You will meet in the Commons after
school. Make sure that you take all of
your stuff as you won’t be coming back in the building. They say practice will get over about 5:00 in
Woonsocket and you will be returning to Sanborn Central.

will be delivered tomorrow.

We are
starting a new routine with the Athletic trainer. She comes on Tuesday mornings, and you will
need to sign up prior to 9:00 am if you wish to see her. If no one signs up – she won’t be stopping
here.
Due to SBA not having
enough Boys out for Basketball, the following schedule will be used at
SBA on Dec. 12. Girls JH- 12:30,
Girls JV 1:45, Boys Varsity- 3PM, Girls Varsity- 4:30PM
Academics
To accommodate for lost time, December 22nd we will have a
full day of school with Blue Semester Testing, December 21st will be Orange
Semester Testing, December 23rd we will dismiss at 11:00 for Christmas
Break.
Athletics
We are starting a new routine with the Athletic
trainer. She comes on Tuesday mornings, and you will need to sign up
prior to 9:00 am if you wish to see her. If no one signs up – she won’t
be stopping here. Parents – if you want your athlete to see the trainer,

Bailey Moody is offering a 5/6th grade
volleyball camp consisting of the fundamentals and basic skills of the
sport. A great introduction for all upcoming athletes! She would
like to keep the camp size at approximately 20 participants. Cost is
$25.00 with money being donated to the Sanford Children’s Castle. Deadline for
registration is December 21st. More information can be

COMMUNITY
The
Artesian Community Improvement Association will be holding their annual Ham drawing/Membership
Drive on Friday, December 18th, 2015 at the Artesian Community Center. Supper
will be served at 6:30. Drawings and a visit from Santa will follow! Membership
dues are $20 a couple and go towards summer youth programs and community
events.
Junior Class
Fund Raising
The junior
class will be starting their annual fundraisers.
1.
We will be
selling 20 spots for our Basketball Board. The cost for a spot on the
board is $20. We will be awarding $25 to winning spots at half-time of
every girls and boys Varsity game at Sanborn Central.
2. We will also have a silent auction for the 2 parking spots
closest to the back doors. You may start bidding today. Bidders
will be consistently notified of any changes. Bidding will stop when we
leave for Christmas Break – December 23rd at 11:00 am.

a student in the junior class. Registration for both will end by
Christmas break as our first game at Sanborn Central is January 2nd.
