At noon today all missing assignments
for students in MS and HS need to be turned into Mrs. Whitney or Mrs.
Vermeulen. Students will be notified
today and have until 11:00 am tomorrow to turn in the missing work. Parents will be called at that time and we
will see you at 8:00 am Monday, September 23rd for an extra help day!

FFA Members-try on your
FFA jackets to make sure that they still fit. Let Mr. Gross know by Sept.
20th if your jacket no longer fits.
FFA Members: For our
upcoming tailgating fundraiser at Friday's game against SBA, FFA Chapter Officers will need to bring 5 lbs. of BBQ
already cooked and prepared as BBQ. Please have it to the school by
Thursday. Also, every chapter member will need to bring either a pan of
bars or cookies. There is a sign up sheet in the Ag Room to choose what
shift you would like to work. This is a good fundraiser for us and
participation in it is a part of your FFA participation agreement. If

There will be a PEP Rally tomorrow
(Sept 20th) morning in the gym at 8:15. The public is welcome to attend.
The Band will be participating
in Woonsocket’s homecoming parade at 1:00 pm tomorrow.
Band members – Be sure to
wear black socks, ready to load the bus at 11:30, make sure you have shoes,
instruments, banner, percussionists don’t forget your carriers and perspective
drums tomorrow!

The School Spirit Club will be selling 4 beaded necklaces (one red,
one blue, one black, one white) for $1 or you can purchase a decorated bandana
and the four beaded necklaces for $5. They will be sold on a first come first
served basis until sold out. They are on display and will be sold in Tracy

At Friday’s
game – watch for a member of the student council selling balloons to be
released during half time. Cost will be
$3 each or two for $5.00. These yellow
balloons are being launched in support of Tanna’s fight with Ewing
Sarcoma. Window painting – “Believe” or
any variation - will be available for a mere $3. All proceeds will be added to Tanna’s fund.
It's that
time of the year to pay your Booster Club dues of $20.00. Booster Club
members will be set up at the homecoming coming with SBA on September 20th at
Sanborn Central to collect dues. Some of the projects funded
by the Booster Club in the past include: Assistance with room air conditioning,
Elementary Book It Program, Children’s Theater, assisted with Dig Pink Night,
assisted Post Prom, State B Plaques and hospitality room, assisted with the
purchase of the Ipads, Portable Basketball Hoops, new bathroom tiles, and
T-shirts for honor students. If you are unable to attend the game,

aware of a phone scam. In this scam, the
caller claims to be from Windows or another support company. The caller
will say your computer is having errors and that you need to visit a specific
website to fix the issue. These phone
calls are a scam. Please warn your users to hang up if they receive a call like
this.
A benefit for cancer survivor David Grassel will
be held at the Artesian Community Center on Saturday, October 5th. A bean bag tournament and a soup supper are
part of the plans. Be watching for more
information soon.
Mark your calendar for the
upcoming Kingsbury Pep Rally/Benefit. The event will be held on Saturday,
October 12 at the Sanborn Central gym in
Forestburg. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. Tacos for Tanna will be served the
entire evening with free will donations accepted. A pep rally will begin at
6:00. There will be a silent auction beginning at 5:00 and a live auction
starting at 6:30. All monetary proceeds will be given to Tanna and her family
to assist with medical expenses encountered during Tanna's battle with Ewing
Sarcoma Cancer. A reprinting of the
original gray "TanDog" t-shirts can be ordered by contacting Connie
Vermeulen at 495-4183 or connie.vermeulen@k12.sd.us or by using the order form
found at www.sanborncentral.com.The due date for all
t-shirt orders is Wednesday, October 2. You may also contact Dana Hohn or Jill
