It's American Education Week day three! A necessary shout out goes to the entirety of our staff. It's all hands on deck starting with morning pickup and a safe ride to and from school from our bus drivers, to the janitors working tirelessly in efforts to give our school that extra sparkle. The para's showing a caring hand and hustling from room to room to make sure all students have had a turn with the day's projects, and the cooks making that delectable meal we dream about in our sleep! The teachers a necessary staple to every students day providing that caring learning environment passing down knowledge in the subjects they chose to teach. Our School Board tacking all those tough topics and providing the oil for the "machine" and the backbone of our purpose in teaching. Administration and our business manager crunching numbers and driving the force we call Sanborn Central! Together we accomplish all the BIG things that makes us proud and defines "Blackhawk Pride."

All Sanborn Central and Woonsocket school district PreK-12th grade parents and guardians are invited to attend the National Alliance on Mental Illness parent/guardian informational session, which will be held on the evening of Tuesday, December 3rd at 6:30 pm at Sanborn Central school in the gymnasium. Similarly to the student session, this presentation is designed to inform audience members about mental health conditions, more specifically the warning signs and symptoms to look for. This presentation will include essential information regarding how to help oneself, one's child, friends, or family members who may need mental health support. The goal of this program is to educate oneself about mental health disorders, what signs to look for, how to support a loved one with a mental health disorder, and where/how to seek treatment.
