Tomorrow the Varsity VB team will participate in the CBH Tournament in Kimball. We are seeded #3 and will play Freeman. The first matches start at 1:00 on a rolling schedule. School pictures were given to students yesterday. This year the class pictures will be a little different then previous years. The picture will include individual shots of each student as opposed to a group shot. This change was made to ensure all members of the class will be in the picture. Those who ordered a class picture should expect to receive them in November, once retakes have been taken.
If your child needs to have a retake, make sure that the original package is returned to the office!!!!!!

REMINDER for
the World of Work Students: Your time sheet is DUE the first day of each
school week to Miss. Ronning by 3:45 PM! There are several students who have
not turned sheets in or checked in with Miss. Ronning at all. You also need to
remember to check into Google Classroom for any assignments posted on
there.
We encourage
parents and students to utilize their portals – a great way to stay on top of
missing assignments and failing grades. If you need help feel free to contact Mary at
school or mary.ackman@k12.sd.us
Thursday,
September 13th are our parent conferences from 1:00-7:00pm. HS and MS teachers will be in the gym for you
visit with at your convenience. Students
will receive bonus points in the classes in which you confer. If you cannot attend conferences, feel free
to e-mail or call the teachers. Contact
must be made prior to September 20th to receive the bonus points.
FFA
FFA will not be
going to Brookings Land and Range on Monday!!!
Instead you will have a required SC FFA meeting for members during lunch
in Miss. Ronning's room. Please bring your lunch into her room. This meeting
will be covering the chapter's first fundraiser, Earn to Learn Crystalyx. This
year, the top seller for Crystalyx will earn a $50 Crystalyx E-Store Gift
Certificate.

members who do not have their own FFA jacket and tie/scarf, are
encouraged to apply for a scholarship through the SD FFA Foundation to
receive one, please see Miss. Ronning for the application. Applications
are
due September 20th.

COMMUNITY
The
Letcher Community Church will start their youth programs this week.
Sonshine club will start Wednesday after school for grades K-5. Sunday School
will begin Sunday, September 9 at 10:00 in the church basement for ages 3-8th
grade. Church services are at 10:15. There will be a kick-off potluck
dinner following the worship service with a free will offering to
support Sunday School finances. All are welcome!
The
Sanborn County Auditor’s and Treasurer’s office will be closed on September 10th and 11th due
to meetings in Pierre. The rest of the courthouse offices will be open.
The Village
Bowl in Mitchell has invited our students to join the bowling leagues. Registration is this Saturday, September 8th,
from 1:00-3:00. Did you know that you
