Blue Day
Congratulations to
our 4-H State Rodeo Contestants. I don’t
have a complete rundown of how everyone did, but heard that Sanborn Central did
a fantastic job with many round placements!
Mason Moody placed 3rd in team roping and 4th in
bulls. Teya Moody is sporting a new
saddle with a barrel racing championship!
The Blackhawk
Football team beat Wagner Friday night in Springs 14-0. Great way to start the season guys! We also want to thank the crew from
Wessington Springs responsible for the game broadcast on their Live Ticket TV
site. It was an exciting way to follow
the Blackhawks!

There will be a FFA meeting
on Monday, August 20th at 6:30 pm in Miss. Ronning's classroom at Sanborn
Central. Parents and students are both encouraged to attend to go over events
and policies for FFA this school year, as well getting to know Miss. Ronning.
Root beer floats will be provided!

7:45 Tuesday morning there will be a quick meeting for
all teachers.
The bus for the Lady Blackhawks will leave for the Hanson
Tourney at 3:25 tomorrow. The gals take
on Gayville/Volin T APPROX 5:15

Change in the VB practice schedule: On Wednesday we will move practice to Woonsocket because of the fall sports pictures. The girls will be told tonight.
Wednesday, August 22nd Sports Pictures will be
taken in Woonsocket. The schedule is: 2:00PM-
Cross Country, 2:15PM- Woonsocket VB individuals, 2:15PM- SC VB will
depart, 2:45PM- JH VB individuals, 3:00PM- SC JH VB depart, Football will start
around 3:45PM with individuals for Woonsocket, 4:30PM Cheerleaders. Here’s a link to the order form – just in

The SC Booster Club is hosting a Pampered
Chef fund raiser with proceeds going to the athletic
complex. Orders are due by September 5th. If someone
would rather look at a book I have them at the school. All checks can be made
out to Julie Bebout. There is a $5.25 shipping fee on each person's order,
orders will be sent to the SC Booster Club and distributed. If you would like
your order shipped directly to you there will be an additional shipping charge.
