Information regarding Weber’s Round Ball Camp has been placed on the lockers of all students who will be in grades 2 thru 8 next year.  These forms need to be returned to Mary by May 1st.  Forms can also be obtained in the office or at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxqWDgwTHOqeZVR1WmJNcDNFaW8/view?usp=sharing
On Friday, April 24th, Harry Everhart will be doing a presentation to our students regarding Tornado Safety.  Harry has been a weather spotter working with the National Weather Service and the Sanborn County Civil Defense since 1976.
The Town & Kountry Kids 4-H Club Blue Group will be meeting at the 4-H Building Sunday, April 26th.  The activities for the Cloverbuds will meet at 4:30; lunch at 6:00 and business meeting at 6:30.  If questions, contact Janet Maeschen at 248-2489.
The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA banquet is on April 28th at the Sanborn Central gym starting at 6:00 p.m.  Please RSVP to Mr. Gross.  Here are the potluck assignments: 12th Grade – Desserts, 11th Grade – Desserts or Salads, 10th & 9th Grade – Main Dishes, 8th Grade – Salads
Anyone interested (ages 10 to 20 and active in FFA or 4-H) in a Farm Service Agency (USDA) Youth  Agricultural Loan up to $5000, please contact Mr. Gross at shane.gross@k12.sd.us for more information.  Mr. Gross will supervise FFA member projects financed by the loan.

Sanborn Central will not be hosting a camp site at the Mitchell Area Heart and Sole Cancer Walk this year.  The walk will be held June 19th at the Mitchell Middle School.  However, we will gladly accept your luminary forms and contributions.  A luminary form can be found at

Letcher will be having their annual Dumpster Days from Monday, April 27 through Sunday, May 3. This year there will also be a third red dumpster from H&R Salvage which will be for metal objects only. All dumpsters will be located across from Rossy Park a block north of Letcher’s Main Street. No tires, no trees, and no batteries are allowed in the dumpsters. This event is sponsored by the Letcher Community Club. If you have any questions, please contact Sherri Stekl at stekl@santel.net.
