Happy Birthday July 16th to Brooklyn Johnson!  Yesterday was Ellie Kisor’s birthday with Clayton Sewall, Katie Schmit, and Mark Seitz celebrating July 15th!  Mrs. Ischen celebrated on April 14th.
Leaving for the Corsica/Stickney track meet today at 11:30 are Abby, Sawyer, Alex, Austin, Chloe, Sam, Katie, Karly, Tater, Cayden, and Aiden.  7th SS will report to Mrs. Sanderson’s room and 8th to Ms. Farrell-Poncelet.

Ms. Wenzel is gone tomorrow – no counseling!

The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA Chapter attended the 87th SD FFA State Convention Sunday through Tuesday.  We had a very successful Convention.  We would like to thank everyone who supported us throughout the year and during these last couple months as we prepared for State Convention.  It is good to see our hard work paying off.  Thank you to the parents who chaperoned the convention:  Darla Enfield, Paula Linke, Jeff Opsahl, and Kelly Johnson.   They were essential in helping move members around and keeping everything running smoothly for our FFA Chapter.  Good luck to the Agronomy team and Jonathan’s 1st place proficiency award as they move on to the National FFA Convention in Louisville, KY during October.  Lastly, congratulations to Jonathan Linke as he represents our chapter and serves our state as the 2015-2016 SD FFA State Treasurer!  State Degree Recipients - Jarid Bechen, Jonathan Linke, Ty Swenson, Ashlynne Terkildsen, Cole Wormstadt, and Tate Ziebart.  State Degree Stars Jonathan Linke-Star Farmer Finalist.  Proficiency Awards (recognition for outstanding Supervised Agricultural Experience projects) Diversified Agricultural Production: Jonathan Linke-1st. Anyone interested in a Farm Service Agency (USDA) Youth Agricultural Loan please contact Mr. Gross at shane.gross@k12.sd.us for more information.  The loans are for amounts of up to $5000.  You must be 10 - 20 years old and be an active FFA or 4-H member to qualify.  Mr. Gross will supervise FFA member projects financed by the loan.
