Today we are highlighting Mr. Danek who has been with our school district for 37 years. He hails from New Effington and received his degrees at NSU and SDSU.  Mr. Danek enjoyed math in high school and he wanted to coach football so becoming a math teacher was an obvious choice.  Each day Mr. Danek looks forward to working with the students to get their math skills at a level that will open many options for them when they leave SCHS.   No surprise for any one that knows Mr. Danek that his dog is named Packer, after one of his favorite teams.  This July Mr. Danek will have been married for 10 years – my how time does fly when you are having fun!  He and his wife purchased their first motor home and are hoping to spend more time fishing.  Mr. Danek we are so glad that you have allowed the staff and students at Sanborn Central to be a part of your life!

Today ends our staff highlights and we would like to thank the staff for allowing us to share information about them with you!

My name is Tyler Reddington and I am a business student at the University of South Dakota. I am also an executive officer for a student led organization called Beacom Billionaire Weekend that plans a fun, exciting, and educational event for prospective business students. The event gives students the chance to learn about the University and the Beacom School of Business while winning great prizes, watching a football game, and meeting some awesome people (including professors and current students)! This event is completely free and is a great chance to introduce students to their options after high school. Being a prospective student a few years ago and attending many college recruiting events, I wish I would have had the opportunity to be a part of such a great thing! The event is held next fall on on November 8th and 9th (housing provided) and a brochure is in the hall way.
