Tutoring
As a safety precaution we would like the area between the parked cars and the sidewalk in the front of the school be clear at all times.  When you are dropping off or picking up your child please pull into a parking spot!

Red, White, Blue will stand proud at the Huron Arena tonight!!!!! The Blackhawk fans are ready to cheer the Gals and Guys to 281 Championship titles. Girls tip off at 6:00 with Hitchcock/Tulare and Guys following with JVC! If you can’t make the trip tune in to KOKK 1210 am for the action. Busses will leave right after school with both teams.

Due to weather there will be no 3rd/4th Grade Practice on Saturday. 

Eligibility is due at noon today.

The juniors have both kettle and caramel corn available for purchase.   They are 1 for $2 or 3 for $5.

This day is approaching fast!  The junior class will be selling half pound boxes of fudge (9 flavors and 2 additional sugar free options) and roses for Valentine's Day. They will have five rose packages available this year. Talk to your favorite junior to order yours now! All orders must be placed by January 18th to ensure they arrive in time.  You could put a smile on someones face by thinking of them.

These are the changes that have been made to the basketball schedule since it originally went out:  
Feb 16th - JH Round Robin will be played in Woonsocket not Sanborn Central

Febuary 1st-JH BB games on Feb. 1 will start at 5PM at Wolsey---Girls 5PM with boys to follow

FFA
FFA CDE season is soon here, so that means practice time! Everyone who is participating in a CDE this spring is required to attend practices. If none of the times listed are an option for you, get in contact with Miss. Ronning to schedule another time. Members please let Miss. Ronning know which session(s) you will be attending.

Counselor's Corner
Have you every had questions as to what or how you child is thinking.   Maybe how a child is acting is baffling to you!  This is a simulation of how frustrating it can be for a child to complete a simple task.  Mrs. Johnson came across this website and found it informational and eye opening to see the frustration of a reading assignment, or keeping thoughts directed to learning while in class. 

Upcoming Event - Nurse for a Day takes place on the Presentation campus in Aberdeen, SD on February 8, February 15, or March 22. Open to any Junior or Senior students who have been considering a career in Nursing or Pre-Med. This free event includes hands-on learning and lunch on campus at the Avera Simulation Center. Please see the following link.

January 19th- DWU is offering a baseball fundamentals camp that takes place Jan 19th and a pitching and hitting camp that will be held Feb 6th.

January 22nd-The Woonsocket Community Library Friends of the Library Used Book Sale will be held from 12:00PM-8:00PM in the Woonsocket School Commons.  We have had more books than usual donated this year (Thank you, donors!), and would love for you to stop by and look at them.  There is something for everyone.  Books can be purchased with a free will donation, and all proceeds will go towards purchasing more books for the library.  Stop by between 4:00PM and 8:00PM to also view some awesome Blackhawk basketball, as there is a double header against Hanson that evening as well.  Hope to see you there!
