All State Chorus try outs will be held today.
There will be no practice for 7-12 Volleyball players due to the Deubrook Game tonight.

There will be a Pizza Meal Deal in White beginning at 5:30 on Friday, September 11th, sponsored by the Deubrook FFA members going to the National Convention.

There will be a Community Bridal Shower for Brooke Zoss on Saturday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Letcher Community Center. Everyone is welcome. Brooke will be marrying Steven King on October 3. The couple is registered at Walmart and Shopko.
On Monday, September 14th Blackhawks have JH and JV football in Mt. Vernon starting at 4:00 pm. Bus will leave WS at 2:15 and be in Woonsocket at 2:30. SC players will meet the bus in Woonsocket.
The Schedule for the MVP FB Jamboree on the 14th has been uploaded to our Google Drive
HUNT SAFE COURSE - Sept 14 & 15 and 19th of September, 2015. The 14th and 15th will be held 6 pm to 9 pm and the 19th will be from 8 am to noon. These classes will be held at the Forestburg 4-H building. This class is offered to all that turn 12 this calendar year or older persons that have not or want to take the course. All materials are furnished. To enroll in the fall class go to the Game Fish and Parks website to register online. This is a 10 hour class that requires all ten hours of attendance. Students will have to register on the web page. It will make things much easier if they do. Once they register they will have to make a username and password. They can use the same login once to buy a license or apply for big game tags.
There will be a Winterguard Informational Meeting Monday Sep 14th 6pm @ Woonsocket for anyone 7th-12th interested in participating in Winterguard this year. Please contact brett.kroeger@k12.sd.us for more questions.
Elementary Walking Program will begin on Monday, September 14th with Prek-2nd and September 18th with 3-5 at 8:12.
Next Tuesday, September 15th is the Sanborn County Land and Range School. We will leave Sanborn Central at 8:30 a.m. and Woonsocket at 8:40 a.m. Students attending the Sanborn County Land and Range School are: Jena Hanson, Royce Hunter, Ethan Johnson, Cole Moody, Madi Moody, Levi Nicholson, Eric Ruml, Austin Schmit, Sawyer Senska, Tristan Thomas, Abby Vermeulen, Alex Wormstadt, Kyle Zoss, Catherine Bechen, Trent Kingsbury, Sarah Morgan, Garrett Dean, Trevor Olson, Tyler Johnson, and Dillon Moore. NOTE THE ORIGINAL DATE WAS THE 16th!
Picture retakes are Wednesday – September 16th. If you need retakes, please give Mrs. Danek or Mary your picture packet before Tuesday, September 15th. We have a list of the students who were not here on picture day and forms will be sent home with them.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held next Thursday, September 17th, from 2:00-7:00 pm.
Once again HS and MS students who have parents confer with their teachers will receive bonus points. If you are unable to attend feel free to call or e-mail the individual teach.
FFA Members: Please try on your FFA jacket to make sure it still fits! The FFA Chapter will buy back jackets that are in good condition for $25. You can then put this money towards a new jacket (about $50). There are also jacket scholarships available. Contact Mr. Gross for more information.

Have you heard about the T-Hugs Program? A group of Quilters from Woonsocket are making your Cancer T-shirts into comfy throws for those taking treatment in Mitchell. these awesome ladies are so creative! One member stated “I've never helped with a project that gives me so much satisfaction. We have started working with the donated cancer t-shirts. NOTHING goes to waste! Logo for quilts, larger pieces for dresses/diapers for needy children in Africa, sleeves for baby quilts, scraps to the humane society for bedding/pillows. PLEASE keep the t-shirts coming. What an awesome project that I get to help with!” These awesome ladies are so creative! We will gladly take cash donations to offset the cost of the stabilizer and the backing.
