Good Luck to the JH basketball teams as they host Corsica/Stickney in Woonsocket tonight. The 7th girls tip off at 5:00 followed by 8th girls, 7th boys, and 8th boys.
Both varsity teams practice at SC today.
At 2:45 JH and HS students will be in the gym watching the HS One Act play! Thank you cast and crew for presenting this to us.

Tomorrow the Little Blackhawks will have camp at 10:00am at SC.
The 7/8th boys will play Corsica/Stickney at 9:00 am in the CBH tournament in Plankinton.

2:00 tomorrow afternoon the Blackhawks host Wolsey/Wessington at Sanborn Central. The schedule is JVG, JCVB, VG, and VB. Q 107 will air the varsity boys’ game and of course you can tune in to Santel Channel 107 for the games.

Tuesday, February 10th, Mr. Kroeger will be taking our Jazz Band to the Palace City Jazz Fest (Renee Farmer). There will be no lessons that day. Mrs. Easton will do 8-12 Band and Mr. Kroeger is hoping to be back in time for 5th and 6/7th band.
Wednesday, February 11th, Ms. Senska will be leaving at 11:20 for the Region V Vocal Contest with Morgan, Tamra, Breanne and Lori. Seniors will have privileges. The rest of the HS will report to Vickie for study hall in the
Students in Pre-K thru 6th: A Little Blackhawk Cheer Camp will be held on February 21st. Registration forms will be sent home today. Registration is due on February 13th. Friday, February 13th Parent Teacher Conferences will be held from 8:00-12:30. MS/HS Students whose parents attend conferences will receive bonus points in those classes. If you are unable to attend, you may contact the teacher by phone or e-mail prior to February 25th to receive the bonus.
The pairings for the DWU Boys Classic on February 14th has been uploaded to our Forms & Publications – Google Drive – Athletics – Basketball folder. We play Langford at 7:00 pm.

A group of students is planning to make a trip to DC in May of 2015. This is a great way to help them raise the funds needed as well as to get a new shirt! The Sanborn Central School District has the following vacancies for the 2014-2015 school year:
**Regular Bus Route Driver – Position open immediately. Open until filled. (District will pay for physical and CDL tests.)
**Substitute bus drivers for the 2014-15 school year. (District will pay for physical and CDL tests.)
Application Form is available on the district website or can be picked up in the office of the Superintendent and will be taken until positions are filled.
Reminder: Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA is seeking chaperones for the SD FFA State Convention in Brookings in April. So far Mr. Gross has only heard from one parent. Even if you have talked to me, please email to reconfirm! There must be 1 chaperone for every 10 students.
Note: The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA is seeking individuals interested in being a coach for FFA CDEs(Career Development Events). Students have signed up for the following CDE areas: Ag Business Management, Agricultural Mechanics, Agronomy, Vet Science, Natural Resources, Meats, Milk Quality and Products, Horse Evaluation, and Floriculture. If you are interested in helping in some way or have any questions, please contact Mr. Gross at shane.gross@k12.sd.us. The Glass Slipper 2015 date is confirmed!! Saturday, February 21st from 9am to 3pm at the Wesleyan Church on 6th and Sanborn!! Any Prom dresses, shoes, or jewelry donations can be dropped off at the church office Monday-Friday between 9am and 4pm. More info to come soon! We will be collecting at Sanborn Central also.
