Orange Day
Welcome back everyone!   What an awesome weekend with the Blackhawks playing in the dome – very proud of these young men and the season they produced!
Good luck to the students attending the FFA CDE’s today in Mitchell.  You will leave SC at 3:30 in official dress.  If you do not plan on riding from the school, please let Mr. Gross know.
A DSU representative will be here at 11:15 to visit with any interested juniors or seniors.
This week is American Education Week - At Sanborn Central we are very fortunate to have the best administration in the area.  Mrs. Whitney, Mrs. Vermeulen, Gayle, and our school board members – Rick Miller, Justin Enfield, Troy Olson, Brenda Schmit, and Clayton Dean -  thank you so much for giving so much of your free time and effort to making SC the wonderful place that it is!  There is a meat and cheese tray in the work room for all staff to enjoy.
American Education Week – Tuesday Paraprofessionals & Secretary Day; Wednesday – Bus Drivers, Cooks, and Janitors Day; Thursday – Teacher Day; Friday – Student Day – Wear PJ’s
The SCW Blackhawks band will be having a feed/concert on Tuesday Nov. 18th in Woonsocket. The feed begins at 5:30 with the Concert beginning at 7:00. Donations will go to help fund the Winterguard for their competitive season. All band students need to wear black socks and their white band shirt.

Combined band rehearsal will be in Woonsocket Tuesday, November 18th, from 8:15 to 10:45.

LAST CHANCE TO ORDER:  Need some new Blackhawk gear??  A group of students are planning to make a trip to DC in May of 2015.  This is a great way to help them raise the funds needed as well as to get a new shirt!  These would make great Christmas presents for parents, grandparents and kids. The site will run from Nov 3 to Nov 17 and the items should arrive at the school Dec 3rd. It's easy to place your order - just go to http://stores.blue84spirit.com/sd2603  For more information, please contact Tambi Wormstadt at mtwormstadt@santel.net or cell number at 770-3077 or Marci Farmer at marci.farmer@k12.sd.us

URGENT - BUS DRIVER NEEDED:  If you are willing to drive bus, we need you!!!!!  Due to an illness of a bus driver we are in desperate need for a substitute driver.  Even if you are not willing to get your CDL we could use you to drive the 14-passenger bus for a route as you don't need a CDL to drive that bus.  The pay is $30 per route which takes about 70 minutes in the morning and about 80 minutes in the afternoon.  Exact time varies depending on who rides.  Leaves SC at 6:35am in the morning and leaves after the 3:20pm bell in the afternoon. Contact Mrs. Whitney if you would be willing to earn some extra money.   Call 605-495-4183 or email her at linda.whitney@k12.sd.us
