Good Luck to our Quiz Bowl team who takes on Bridgewater/Emery this morning at 11:00. Members are Shane Nelson – Captain, Morgan Selland, Jarid Bechen with Logan Effling and Josh Feiner as alternates.
Good luck to our 5/6th grade basketball teams as they host Springs today at 4:00 in the Sanborn Central gym.
Good luck to our volleyball teams as the host Hitchcock/Tulare in Woonsocket today. 5:15 finds the first JH serve followed by JV & Varsity. If you can’t be there – tune in to Santel Channel 104 and watch the action live.
The Pep Band plays in Woonsocket tonight.

Mark your calendar to be in the SC gym Friday, October 24th for the Volleyball teams’ annual DIG PINK Night! The games begin at 4:00. We are sure that they will provide us with an enjoyable evening. All profits will go the “You’ll Never Walk Alone” organization in Mitchell. A Breast Cancer Foundation founded by Stacy Morgan who is a breast cancer patient and survivor herself. Stacy founded this foundation to provide support for others in our area who will travel down this path of breast cancer.

A huge thank you to those providing our students with the Backpack Program! They have revised the guidelines to include the students who receive not only free meals but also REDUCED. Applications were included with the back to school packet, and the newly revised one has been uploaded to our web site - Forms & Publications - Google Drive - Miscellaneous Folder - Backpack Program. Feel free to submit a new application if you think you might qualify.
Crystalyx Cards are still being sold by Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA. The cards are accepted at Forestburg Farmer’s Elevator, Stan’s in Alpena, Amkota in Wessington Springs, and Carthage Farmers Elevator. A big thank you from SC/W FFA to these local businesses for their support of this program and the FFA!
Information regarding the 5th Annual Mt. Vernon Wild Game Feed - Saturday, October, 25, 2014 - Serving starts – 6:30 p.m. has been uploaded to our Google Drive – Forms and Publications – Community Folder. Awards and Raffle Drawing to be held at 8:00 p.m. at the Old Mt. Vernon Gym on Main Street. Proceeds benefit the Mt.
