Congratulations to Kelsey's bus for receiving the traveling bus trophy award for the cleanest bus!

We will run eligibility today.

Due to the rain forecast for Wednesday evening through Friday, Track and Field Day will be held in the gym on Thursday.  PreK-Kdgn (12:30), 1st-2nd (1:20, and 3rd-5th (2:10).  The grades will rotate in the gym for approximately 45 minutes starting at 12:30.  Sorry for any inconvenience but wanted to relay this information as soon as possible.

The Sanborn Central Graduation is on May 17th, Seniors have photos at 2:30 and 8th grade at 3PM. The ceremony starts at 4:00. Graduation band: 6-10th band members only will play for Band at Sanborn Central.  Please arrive by 3:30 and be seated by 3:45.  Please contact Mrs. Karlen with any questions or concerns.

Today is the all school PBIS quarter 4 assembly party at 12:30 in the gym. quarterly winners and traveling bus trophy will be awarded for the cleanest bus.
At the 12:25 PM bell, all staff and students will head to the gym so we can begin the brief assembly promptly at 12:30 so the Elementary Book-It party can begin promptly at 12:40.

Families are asked to bring a food item to share:  6th grade hot dish, 7th:  hot dish, 8th:  dessert, 9th:  hot dish, 10th:  dessert, 11th:  salad, 12th :  salad  If you have more than one student being honored at Awards Night, please bring the item designated to your oldest student.  Thanks.Z

A HUGE Thank you to EVERYONE who came out to the concert last night!  Our Bake/Craft Sale was a HUGE SUCCESS!  We raised almost $860.00 towards our new Drum set!  Thank you to everyone who donated goodies and crafty items!  We had so many talents on display!  I am so thankful to be a part of such a great community and school!  Have a wonderful summer! 

Post Prom is selling Dakota Tom sandwiches.  Reach out to any student in 8-11th grade to purchase yours! Orders are due Friday, May 2nd. There will be an order form at the spring concert.

Congratulation to Caleb Kneen for being recognized in the 34th Annual Academic Excellence Recognition Luncheon. This event highlights the top 1% of students in South Dakota who have achieved academic excellence.

Congratulations to the new NHS members for 2025-2026 school year. They will be inducted during Awards Night on Monday, May 12th

Donate your old or outgrown Blackhawk clothing until Tuesday, April 29th! You can drop off CLEAN clothing at the school or send it to school with your student! Before the spring concert on Thursday, May 1st, stop by the Blackhawk Gear Swap and pick out what you want for a free will donation.
