If you have not heard about our Plan for Return 2020-2021 School Year, please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the Three Phases of Mitigation.  The construction of this plan is to address the students, staff and community members of the Sanborn Central School District and provide an outline detailing how the district intends to conduct educational business in the 2020-2021 school year.  https://5il.co/idzb

Listed with the attached link is a detailed plan to address Covid-19.  Please read the precautions that will be implemented at the Sanborn Central School as the 20-21 school year begins.   https://5il.co/jeew

Please know the signs of Covid-19.  Loss of taste, smell, sore throat, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing are just a few.  If your child is experiencing any of these signs do not send your child to school. The attached link is a great reference to have in your home to recognize the signs  https://5il.co/jeey

BUS PARENTS:  If your children/child will not be riding the bus home to the location where he/she is picked up please be sure to let Laura know prior to the first day. Bus route's are being established and the drivers will contact you prior to the start of school.  It is important that you discuss with you child at the start of your day where they will be going after school.  Please try to stick with the plan you have discussed with them to avoid any anxiety or confusion at the end of their day!   laura.licht@k12.sd.us

Football Schedule for Wed-Sat:
Wednesday: 8-11 AM @ Woony (Full pads) Hand out uniforms and helmet decals
Thursday: 8-11 AM @ Woony (Helmet & Shoulder pads)
Friday: Scrimmage at Salem 6 PM. Bus leaves WS at 3:30 and picks up Woony at 3:45 and SC at 4:00 (more info below) We decided no walk-through prior to game like it says on the schedule.
Saturday: 10:00-11:30 @ Woony (Just helmets) Film session, stretching, and light jog.

Scrimmage at Salem vs MCM will take place at 6 PM. The first half will be a regular half with 12 minute quarters and will be focused on solely varsity players. 2nd half will be jamboree style with each offense having 10 plays and then switch. It sounds like we will have two rounds of this or 40 plays overall.
Currently, there are no limitations to fans in the stands and all are welcome. Please stay on our designated side of the field. I am unaware at this point of concessions at the game. After the game, parents must inform coaches if you are taking your child home and not riding the bus. As of now, boys will not be able to use locker rooms. However, please have athletes bring clothes to change into after game.

Reminder: JH will start the following Monday on the 17th. SC JH players without needed equipment, my Riddell rep says the reconditioned equipment will arrive on Tuesday, the 11th. Once I have received the equipment, you will be contacted to arrange a time to receive it.
Thanks & Go Blackhawks!
