Orange Day


Grades will be due Wednesday for report cards to go out on Thursday, March 12th.  MS Updates will be due on Wednesday.  No eligibility this week.

Wednesday, March 11th is a workday for senior projects, and Friday March 27th Sr. projects will be presented to judges.

Athletics
The game did not turn out in our favor Friday but we are still Blackhawk proud of our basketball teams.  It has been a pleasure to watch both of our teams power through some tough competition and leave it all on the floor this year!

There will be a grades 8-11 football meeting in Woonsocket after school on Wednesday.  All players are expected to attend.  If you cannot attend, speak to Coach Flatten or Coach Rodriguez prior to Wednesday.

There will be a 7-12th basketball meeting Tuesday, March 10th after school at SC for all kids who played basketball this year.

Please turn in girls basketball uniforms as soon as possible.

Join in on the fun with the Alexandria 3 on 3 tournament.  Grades 3-8 are welcome and no entries can be taken after March 30th.  The tournament date is Saturday, April 4th.

Music
A local music contest will be help March 12th at the SC school.  Miss. West and  Mrs. Easton have been collaborating and a music contest will take place at Sanborn Central from about 8:30-11:30 and Woonsocket from about 12:30-3:30. Please view the following link and see what time your student is scheduled to perform.

On March 18th 9-12 band students are performing at Region Large Group contest. They will leave in the morning and return around 1:30pm. In preparation for the contest, they will be rehearsing with Woonsocket during Block 2 on March 11th and March 17th.   Students involved include the following:Katie Schmit, Dayton Easton, Dana Schelske, Sidney Salas, Brighten Hitchcock, Alexis Kelly, Samantha Dean, Michael Hoffman, Toby Kneen, Brady Larson, and Casady Dean

Community
Please help support Chloe Ruml’s senior project by attending a FREE Family Fun BINGO event from 1-3 at the Letcher Community center Sunday, March 15th. This event is geared towards activities for children in a rural area. The event will kick off with a free will offering of soup and sandwich from 11AM- 1PM Proceeds going to Sanborn Central youth attending Washington DC trip. A silent auction from 11AM-1PM followed by bingo at 1PM.
